For how cheap it is and what it is it works just fine, however, the little black rubber piece that goes over the spout on the vacuum filtration system broke the very first time just trying to fit it on. The piece is very thin rubber.I wound up being able to tape it up with electrical tape.

Although this pump allows additional pumping action to pull a better vacuum, the seal(?) broke after just 2 weeks and no longer holds a vacuum. In addition, the price is high for such poor construction. After all, it's all plastic!

This little gem is able to pull a vacuum up to 25 inches of mercury. Externally, it's made of durable material, no idea if the internal construction is as good. However, no reason to think otherwise. One very interesting feature: the handle ends in an opening that expels the air inside. Fitted with some sort of adapter, that end can be used as a pump! I have not tested the pressure output, however.I'm using it to provide a vacuum source for short-term storage of food when no refrigerator is available.Still looking for a suitable container at a resonable price. If I find what I need, I'll make a short video using this to achieve the goal.

When filtering through a 45 micron membrane PES filter this hand tool affords gentle vacuum control thereby preventing filter pore corruption. I find this pump to be superior to my previous pistol style in both comfort and efficiency.
