Pros: Easy to install - no soldering, no Teflon tape needed because there are no threads; easy to fully open and close with a 1/2 turn; no water flow restriction - full 3/4" water flow; valve can be turned 360-degrees around the pipe after installation allowing the handle to be placed at the optimum location for preferred use; solid brass; highly effective - no leaks; can be easily removed with the Sharkbite removal tool that comes with the valve.Cons: Pricy

Proper copper pipe prep is important for a leak free connection. I removed 2"of existing pipe but still couldn't clear the remaining pipe for install. I had to remove 2 3/16" for the slip valve to clear the opening and slide on. The deburring tool is nice but too big with all the different sizes in one tool. My gas line was in the way and prevented a full 360 of the deburring tool. I had to modify by cutting the 3/4 debur part of the tool off. That gave me the clearance necessary to make a full 360 on the pipes. Once installed, they were leak free and easy to rotate the handle into the most optimal position.

The SharkBite 3/4" slip ball value, push-to-connect, plumbing valve is fantastic to use, especially in tight, already installed plumbing pipe situations, say between beams or walls. The unique “slip” feature allows you to slide the plumbing pipe (copper, CPVC) into the slip valve and then it allows you to then slide the valve into place on the other side to make a watertight plumbing connection, all within seconds! The best of all is that you can remove, reposition, and reinstall this plumbing fitting all without dangerous soldering!

Easy to install. Follow instructions for cutting exiting copper and install the valve. Works well no leaks. I would buy this item again.

Easy to install and longer than a normal valve. Very versatile.I made use of this when installing a taller bathtub where I had to move the faucet up. There was no shut off valve and I wanted to add one. So this valve accomplished 3 things: added the valve, extended the pipe, and made it easy.I could have soldered in a valve and more pipe for less. But sometimes ease of install is worth the extra cost. Like when you have to crawl inside a cabinet and work through a small hole in the wall.
