Severe shock loads and stress are absorbed by the valve body to minimize the chance of uneven wear and leakage. This valve is not recommended for service or test with compressed air.

I used three of these to replace some junk slice valves that came with my pool package. The slice valves never cut the water off, they just inhibited the flow somewhat .These valves do what a ball valve is supposed to do, which is cut the flow completely. They are a bit stiff and hard to turn, but if that is the trade-off for a product that does what it's supposed to do, it's worth it.

I sweat copper. I only use PVC for drainage. I had a need for 1" valves for a fish pond filtration sump; brass or stainless steel would have been overkill. These valves did a terrific job of allowing me to control the pump's flow rate.

Well designed ball valve. Solidly built and leak-free. In closed position, unlike some, the ball completely covers the opening, shutting off water flow completely. I use three to control water flow going to and from the pool heater and a bypass valve.

The 1.5 “ valve works good. Used it for a trailer grey water waste pipe. I have purchased these type of valves in the past any this valve is almost identical. It’s a little stiff to turn but no more than the regular store bought ones. It’s almost half the price of the ones in the store.

product quality looks great. delivery was fast. only issue I have is the lack of product dimension details.Should include the following:1-1/2" FPT fittings for a 1 1/2-inch MIP threaded end.Actual ID is 1 7/8"I had to pickup 2 ABS Quick-Connect Barbed Adaptor Threaded 1.5".
