Worked very well, Built solid. Very well made. Great tool for the price.As some others have stated before though, one will need to drill and tap the tail end of the MT2 taper to install a set screw so as to be able to set the adjustment to enable it to back it out of the taper once installed.

Thing weighs a ton! Solid steel and I can't find the usual blemishes I expect for a machined item like this. Bearings are tight, beautiful finish, solid.

This is a very well made, heavy duty tool that goes into the tailstock of your lathe (it has a bearing inside and will spin with the wood you are turning). It is perfect for helping to hold a piece that already has a large opening or has been hollowed. It's far more precise and secure than other methods I've tried. It can also hold smaller items well.A few words about the supplier. The first one they shipped was lost in transit and when I reached out to them (using Amazon's process), they were incredibly responsive with fast communications and immediately sent another out via FedEx which I received a few days later. Excellent service!
