I've been making bread in a bread machine for a long time. And sometimes I'll make the dough in the machine and let it proof and rise in there, then take it out and use a loaf pan to bake it. But I didn't really have the tools to make a good loaf of bread without the machine. Now I do!The two baskets ("bannetons") are perfect for round or rectangular loaves, and they come with reusable linen liners. The dough scraper fits my hand nicely and makes it easy to portion out the dough. The dough whisk is solidly made and makes it easy to mix the dough with it's flow-through design. I'd never used one of these before and was honestly perplexed at how it would be any better than other mixing tools - but it totally is. It also comes with a plastic bowl scraper which is kinda meh, but hey, free bowl scraper, amirite? The silicon brush is small, but works fine - no complaints there. The bread lame holds the blades securely and makes it easy to pattern the top of the loaf. All in all, this is a great beginner set. All you need is a loaf pan of your choice. For round loaves, a good dutch oven works great. If you want rectangular loaves the options are endless, but my favorite is cast iron.Happy breadmaking!

If you bake sourdough or any type of bread these tools will be very useful. The plastic dough scrapper is great for removing sticky dough from around the bowls. The metal dough cutter is obviously easier than using your hands. My favorite is the Danish whisk such a great tool when working with dough. The bread bags are perfect for gift giving your bread or selling it.I was excited to receive the benton baskets but I was a tad disappointed in them. The smell was extremely strong the smell is not disappearing. It's pretty strong like spray paint I'm not sire if that's natural. The baskets were heavily splintered. So I'm worried to use them without the liners. I like the natural bread design of the baskets with no liners. I'm worried wood would end up inside the bread. I will continue to clean them and scrub them in hopes the wood will shed ans the smell will pass.I do think it's a good value considering everything you get for the price but I do wish the baskets were a little better made.

I’ve ordered several Banneton bread basket sets and while this one isn’t my number one - I’d say it’s my number two. The only thing I wish it included was a proving jar. Otherwise the baskets are nice with no visible fraying, I like the quality of the material, and my first loaf was just as yummy as the other kits I’ve tried. If you’re looking for a sourdough making kit for beginners, this set is great. Just plan on ordering a supplement jar and box to prove the dough.

Came with all the tools to help you have a good time making bread. All the tools are nice and doesn't feel too cheaply made, should last a few years. We have used everything about 3 times (we bale bread once a week ) and using these the tools from the baking set actually made it easier and fun(fancy) lol.

My bread has never held it's shape with the basket lines before these. Not that it's a huge deal, but it's pretty. I like that the lame is shorter than my other one that doesn't have a good storing place because it's so long. This one fits right in the drawer with my other baking supplies. I wish it came with a cover though since I leave the blade attached since I bake almost daily. I use a spatula instead of the dough whisk so I don't know how well it works. Appreciate that it comes with a leaning brush since it's hard to clean the bowls with just a sponge. The silicone brush is meh. The bread bags are a super nice touch.

Great set to have if you bake a lot. I needed extra proofing basket. The basket quality is good and smooth. The set also comes with necessary tools for bread making. The tool quality does not feel cheap and includes bags to store/pack the bread. It comes with a simple instruction on how to use and care for the proofing basket.
