This is great for small projects, it is lighter and quieter than my gas powered one. So I just do a bit everyday to get my big projects done. Only downside is it comes with a clip for the shoulder strap but they don’t include a shoulder strap. I’ll probably use the strap of my gas powered one.

J’ai acheté cet appareil pour donner en cadeau et la livraison est arrivé trop tard. Donc le vendeur Greenworks Tools Ca. n’a pas été très coopératif pour me donner l’étiquette du retour, les discussions n’en finissaient plus, ça pris 2 semaines pour enfin p-e donner le remboursement complet et l’étiquette de retourDonc le vendeur, à la fin, a été OK, mais son application du retour n’est pas efficace, doit être beaucoup plus rapide.Enfin tout se termine bien. Je recommande ce vendeur car je vais lui faire confiance et peut-être acheter chez lui si le prix est intéressant.Pierre Léonard, Dorval, Qc.

This thing is a beast! Very powerful, in fact it’s more powerful than the gas unit I had (which crapped out after half a summer)!The 16 inch cutting path is huge and I needed to get use to it. The battery is easy to remove or install in the unit and will stay strong til it’s almost depleted. I had enough battery life for a fairly big yard but with lots of nooks and crannies to trim. Charges VERY fast! Did I say this unit is powerful? You need to wear long pants, boots and eye protection. But man, it will get the job done.On the other hand, I find this unit is the on the heavy side. I will use a shoulder strap next time and there is a nice attachment for this purpose on the unit.I’m very please with this purchase and recommend this trimmer for large yard and hard work.Alain

I'd been shopping for a battery operated bladed brush trimmer for a while and after confirming with Greenworks customer service that this item was compatible with split shaft accessories, I purchased this one. I was very impressed with the power of the unit and the charge time but, unfortunately, their was some confusion on their part about this unit. IT IS NOT SPLIT SHAFT COMPATIBLE. By putting the motor directly at the end of the shaft with the trimmer head the unit is well balanced and battery life is increased by eliminating the shaft and gearing necessary for split shaft compatibility. It is an excellent product for what it is and I would recommend it whole-heartedly to anyone who needs a string trimmer only. I can also say that Greenworks has excellent customer service. When they realized the mix-up they sent me the correct item at no extra charge even though it is actually slightly more expensive.Now that I've received the correct one (model - GST80321) I am extremely happy with it. With the split shaft brush cutter attachment (TrimmerPlus BC720) and Renegade Blade carbide weedeater blade attached it is exactly what I was looking for. A relatively quiet, simple to operate brush killer. I use it to build trails through scrub oak, poison oak and wooded areas. It mows down weeds and anything up to a couple inches around as quick as you can look at it and saws through trees and limbs with ease. I got about an hour of use from one battery including setting it down and picking up the rake between cuts and moving from place to place. Probably about half that was actual cutting time but I accomplished in an hour what would normally take a day with hand tools and power did not seem to decrease with battery charge, it just stopped working when the battery died. I have another battery on the way because I work far away from electrical outlets, otherwise the half hour charge time would be sufficient to keep working continuously with half hour breaks for clearing while it recharges. FYI, Greenworks did caution not to use the blade attachment for extended periods, i assume this may overheat the motor.
