I am sure that they made many of these pumps and they are all bad for a Mercedes ML430. They must of had the CNC programed bad and never caught it. Where the reservoir connects to the pump it has been machined to long so it the reservoir will not slide on far enough so the clip to secure it will not fit. Very bad part now I have to order on that is made in USA or Germany. What was I thinking made in China will not work and OEM does not stand for Original Equipment Manufacture must stand for Other Equipment Manufacture. Lots of time wasted on this. Just being honest so no one will have to go through what I have. The only reason for one start is Amazon got it to me as they always do not Amazons fault on this.

needed this asap and the only way to get it fast was amazon. As of right now 5 stars for price and one month later working, but a little whine. I know how to get air bubbles out suv off ground turn wheel left to right 30 times, and did this twice 0 bubbles. sent OE TZ/Bosch unit in for a rebuild unit.So lets see how long this will works. Also I did do the flush with Pentosin CHS11s, and that is what started my problem with the old unit I believe as the pressure valve on all power steering units are usually to blame

I switched to coilover suspension on my 2003 SL500. The original pump is a tandem pump, servicing both power steering and the hydraulic suspension. This pump is originally intended for a different set of Mercedes cars but it works and fits perfectly in my R230 vehicle now that I don't need it to service the hydraulic suspension.Better yet, it's a lot lighter and gives a bit of a bump in power because it doesn't have to do both services.

Works so good it blew power steering out my pressure line I kind of needed to replace because it had a hole. Now this makes everything work so mandatory pressure line replacement.

WARNING. So far so good. But be forewarned, these power steering pumps in general can be VERY difficult to get the reservoir seated correctly. If you haven’t replaced the o ring at the reservoir connection point recently, be sure to do so and possibly the reservoir as well. If the reservoir does not seat correctly try moving the neck of the fluid intake on the pump that connects to the reservoir. If it’s not completely straight it won’t seat correctly with the reservoir. It can be moved gently with a plyers or by inserting a small screwdriver into the neck to leverage move it. It took me a long time to get mine correct. Otherwise the fluid runs out at the connection. The locking c clamp should be very hard to fasten otherwise the reservoir isn’t seated correctly and it will be loose. Hope this helps!

In the first photo, I pointed out Non - threaded bolt hole on new one failed to machine. pump was not exact to mine shown in on new pump as shown in 2nd photo. Spent 15 minutes trying to thread.... oh wait, no threads! needed to get a threading tool, thread and accept bolt. So frustrating.! Plus .. it took 3 weeks to arrive.

Worked out well for a 2005 ML500. Was in a bind when truck broke down on a weekend. Found this at an affordable price and picked up the next day at local Amazon@CollegePark.
