These chimney caps require somebody (?) to climb up on a ladder (or some other device that elevates you to the top of your chimney) so that it can be installed. Hopefully, it fits perfectly the first time and everything goes smoothly and safely. This cap required some adjustment to my particular chimney condition so it was multiple trips up and down the ladder. But once I got it installed, it does exactly what I want it to do.
