Works great and is easy to use. I no longer have to worry about my expensive trolling motor deploying while I am going 40 miles an hour and hit a wave. That happened twice and I am amazed it didn't rip the whole motor off it. No worries now. Also, it prevents the control head on the trolling motor from banging against the boat when in stowed position on choppy waters.

Bought a new high end trolling motor and wanted to be able to rest the shaft on the deck because I use my boat in the Gulf waters. I got my motor and where I want to mount it. This mount kit comes way more sturdy than the listing even stated it was very well done!! This will hold the shaft very well and ever so gently without damage with the large strap quick on and off easy also. much better made than others I looked at and read reviews on them, this one has great reviews and well made.

Very easy to mount , don’t like the way it slides off to remove it seems to try to come undone when in use. I think it needs a way to lock and unlock to remove it.
