I live in the Desert Southwest, and the majority of my house's windows, unfortunately, are west-facing - meaning that I catch all the worst heat of the afternoon. (The hottest hours of our day tend to fall between 2pm and 7pm - just when that slowly declining sun is blazing directly into my west-facing windows.) Needless to say, I keep most of those windows very tightly covered with light- and heat-blocking curtains throughout the heat of the day. This means I'm limited in what kind of plants can do well in those rooms.Adding to that limitation is the fact that my cats just loooove to chew on whatever plants I put anywhere within their reach. As a result, I've gone mostly plantless in my front rooms for several years.However, these hanging planters with built-in grow-lights are the perfect solution. I can keep the plants up out of the cats' reach (at least until they start practicing their acrobatic acts) AND give them a boost of helpful light, even in the artificially darkened rooms. I'm planning to move soon so hopefully I won't need them for the same purposes, but they'll still be useful for establishing a good sturdy young plant in a small planter before I transplant to a larger planter without the supplemental light. I have to give this set 5 stars because the plant hangers and lights look and function exactly as described. Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with how the power cord looked regardless of where I put it due to the dark color of my wall, so I decided to use the lights and hangers separately.The macramé holders are lightweight, and I think the proportions look good for the size of the plant pot they're designed to hold. They are well made and remind me of the ones my sister used to make years ago.Overall, I think this set is a good value considering it includes hardware and extra items to install correctly.

Nice macrame plant holder that comes with a small grow light. I received exactly what I expected. I was glad to see included several different things I need to hang it, hooks and S hooks and Velcro- you don't need all that, it is good to have options if you don't already have a good supply of hardware at home. This would make a good gift for someone in a dorm or first apartment, since it comes complete.

Super cute Boho design! However, the cords make it impractical and unattractive. I regret not reading the description. I wish the lights were rechargeable and cordless.

This set of macrame plant hangers is really cute. They're really simple in design but add such a nice boho vibe. The set of grow lights that come with this are really nice as well. The different options of lighting they provide is top tier. I've had several grow lights and these really come with all the bells and whistles. They have the timer, brightness control and even a variety of light spectrums which is pretty extensive in terms of options, so I was really happy with that. They definitely will help the plants thrive during the winter months. The wires on these lights are also long enough for functionality. They are a tad longer than most smaller lights of this size that I've used which is really nice that this was thought through in the design since this would be hanging so it would need to be longer to reach outlets. The way the lights attach to the hangers is just by being placed on the ring on the top of the hangers and I found that it was a bit awkward. It was a rather difficult to get it to look flush but at least it felt secure and didn't feel like they would fall through onto my plants. See photo for reference. Another thing to be aware of is that because that ring is there, it kind of restricts the width of these hangers causing them to be a bit on the narrower side so be aware of this fact when buying for your plants. It worked well for me but I'm not sure I would recommend it for use with bigger and bushier plants. Overall, I really like this set of hangers with grow lights for the quality of the lights and the super cute design and would recommend them to others.
