This ball head is built like a tank. The rotation is dampened which makes it very tactile. The lockup on the ball is rock solid and arca clamp is awesome. This is a very high quality setup worthy of high end glass. A+++.

This is a great professional option for a ball head. The clamp option for the arca swiss plate is by far the fastest and most secure way to attach a camera. The large main knob is very easy to use, even if you're wearing gloves. The size of this dial is what attracted me to this ball head because I felt it would give me the security you normally only get with a larger three-way tilt option. It has worked for me so far. The ball head locks precisely, without the slight movement you normally get when locking a ball head. It also includes a tension knob to adjust how loose the ball head will get so a large camera rig won't fall widely. My only problem with this tension knob is -- ironically -- how loose the tension knob can be if it is not at one of the two extremes: all loose or semi-locked. It would be nice if that knob were tamped down more making slight adjustments easier. The green metal is gorgeous, even if that doesn't count for anything. The only other complaint I may have is the weight of the ball head. This is to be expected with a model that is rated to hold such heavy camera equipment, but I had visions of carrying this to some shoots. You don't need this ball head if you're just attaching a mirrorless camera and a midrange zoom lens. This is for huge video rigs or massive birding lenses. The size and weight aren't an issue if you plan to use this in a studio, which would be a perfect application. However, if you plan to hike with this to a bird blind, you might want a lighter option. Overall, this is an premium tripod head that would be the perfect compliment to a set of Gitzo legs.

This thing is solid, well-made. Smooth action. Love the big knobs. Love the level. Love the cool green color. This will be going in my green gear kit I'm building (I like all my gear to match. I'm weird like that). Comes with an above standard carry bag, dust cloth, two wrenches, and a thread adapter. Everything looks sharp, and feels heavy duty. I can't find any flaws. My ONLY complaint is the price. I mean, it IS top notch, and might be the best head I have. I'd just not like to have to reach that high for a head, personally.Otherwise, as long as it's in your price range, I'm about 99% certain you'll be pleased with it. I'll update if there are any major developments, but so far, it's pretty outstanding. 👍

I have purchased Sunwayfoto products in the past and have always been happy with the brand. This 5mm ball head is no exception. It is a big, beefy head with great features. The feature I really like, and what attracted me to this head, is the lever-style clamp for the Arca-Swiss plates. Arca-Swiss is my preferred plate style, but they can vary a little in size. With this clamp, you can make fine adjustments to ensure the plate is tight and secure.I also like the inclusion of two slots for vertical shooting, giving some additional flexibility. The panning is smooth and it has an overall feel of durability and quality. I find the greenish color of the knobs and the ball itself to be pleasing to my eye.I must say I was a little disappointed in the included storage case. Although it functions well enough for storage protection, At this price, I would have preferred a more fitted case with more padding and a zipper. Most of the nice ball heads I've purchased come with much nicer cases, however the case has nothing to do with the head's functionality, so not a big deal overall.

This is a beast of a tripod head. It is rated to hold up to 66 pounds and I have no fear that it can. The engineering on this is incredible. Everything feels silky smooth and there is not the slightest bit of play in any of the knobs. You can feel minute adjustments even though nothing is geared. There is no doubt when you lock things down. This tripod head is worth every penny of it's price. And you feel confident putting $50,000 worth of gear on it. I had not heard of this brand, but I'm going to be looking to them when I need more gear. They know what they are doing.

I believe it said in the ad that it will support seventy pounds. It has some nice features with some ball heads when you loosen the ball a little and the camera flops over quite hard this one has a drag control so it can be moved around smoothly. The panning feature is very fluid feeling. It is a bit on the heavy side though it does seem well made. And if you're budget allows it I think you'll be happy with it.Any thing else I could say would just be repeating what is already in the ad.I hope that my review is helpful.

This is a ball head on steroids that leaves no doubt to it's sturdy support of most of your heaviest camera assemblies. It appears to be extremely well made with extremely fine precision. The quick disconnect on the ARCA clamp comes in handy but it is the very fine motion abilities with no hesitations that allow accurate and precise use. It is simply much better than what I expected and to what is even advertised.

This is a great and very well made tripod ball head. I have mounted my gripped cameras with the Sigma 150-600mm lens on it and there was zero movement once it was set. The knobs are big and I would imagine would work well with gloves on.
