I have a granite shower. I haven't used anything on it since installation about 3 yrs now. It has been regularly cleaned with a soft soap. A pricey product but since its the first application in 3 yrs I didn't mind the price. I was surprised the product was like water. I was expecting some heavy compound. I brought out more shine to the granite. I've only had it on for about 3 weeks now so time will be the deciding factor how well it lasts. The directions say to apply annually.

Package had evidence of leaking, not severe but package was wet at the top and lid was off when I opened the package. I can not tell how much leaked out.

Prior experience has taught me that when something works great stick with it! I've used Stonetech Granite and Stone sealer for years and not about to change. This version had new instructions and we followed them to the letter and the counter tops are brilliant and well protected!

This is the best sealer I've found and I whole-heartedly recommend it. Some tips:- Yes, it has the consistency of water. That's a feature. It sprays on easily, It has an acrylic base, which seals and protects the stone and prevents water from penetrating it.- If the granite is porous and/or hasn't been sealed in awhile, you may need 2-3 coats to build up a protective shield.- If the air is very dry, it may start to dry in less than 10 minutes. It's not supposed to dry before you wipe it off, so check it often. If it does dry, respray it, wipe off the dry stuff, and start over. If you somehow get spots of excess sealer, respray and wipe it off.- Give it a few days to cure before deciding if the surface is still absorbent. There were areas of granite which had been stripped of sealant, so I used 2-3 coats. The next day, water still penetrated in spots. Now that the sealant has completely cured, the water sits on top of the surface.- Use a clean absorbent cloth, preferably cotton, to do the application. Do not use paper towels. Paper towels contain sizing which leaves streaks (if you get streaks when you clean glass, that's why).- It may take several clean towels to complete the job and minimize streaking.- There may be streaks after you initially buff the surface, especially if your granite is high gloss. Use a microfiber towel to buff out the streaks. No matter what cleaner, polish, or sealant I've used, it always needs a final buff with a microfiber towel. That's what the granite installers used to eliminate streaks, too.
