My husband is the absolute king of homemade pizza (seriously - we haven't ordered takeout pizza in years!), and he LOVES this pizza pan. The pan is solid, heavy-duty, and ensures an even cook with a beautifully crisp bottom on his pizzas. We’ve used it several times with both homemade dough and thick crust pizza, and the results have been consistently excellent. The pizza comes out with a perfect crust every time. While the pan is on the larger side - and VERY HEAVY! - it fits well in the oven and holds up to heavy toppings without any issues. We haven't tried it on the BBQ yet but we're looking forward to that, too. The pre-seasoned surface works great, though I added a bit of my own seasoning to enhance the flavor. I prefer hand washing it, which is simple enough as any residue wipes off easily with warm water.Overall, this pan feels built to last and I’m confident it will hold up for many years of pizza making. If you love homemade pizza and bread, I highly recommend giving this pan a try. It delivers on performance and durability, and for the price, it’s well worth it.

I like that this cast iron pizza pan allows me to get a nice even golden brown on the homemade pizzas I make; I appreciate the flared out handles which made lifting this in and out of the oven easier. I did notice that the overall size gets very close to the maximum of what a standard size range oven will fit.The thing I did not like about this pan:- it is quite large and barely fits into a dual basin kitchen sink- does not fit condominium/apartment sized built-in wall ovensI think a 15-16 inch pan might be more manageable for cleaning purposes; I did have to be careful with wiping down with paper towel as the cast iron is textured where it does catch fibers. I believe the small hole in one of the handles is meant for hanging this pan up.Construction wise, I did not see any physical damage nor imperfections with the exterior of the pan; the pan did not have any strange odours nor weird factory scent. The cast iron does feel heavy built and robust. To get the crisp crust on my pizza dough, I did let this cast iron pan pre-heat in the oven as it came to temperature; I put my pizza dough on this hot cast iron pan and assembled the pizza.I believe this pan makes sense if you have a large family or group to cook for; also, a large singular kitchen basin sink would make this easier to rinse off.

We make a lot of pizza and homemade cheesey bread in our family so having the perfect pizza pan is a must. Our old heavy-duty cast-iron pizza pan has lasted over 10 years and hundreds of pizzas, but it's time for a new one. This is extremely heavy duty, cast iron, which I'm confident can hold our heavy-duty pizzas. (extra toppings).* It's heavy as per other reviews, add pizza with lots of meat and you might need assistance. (I did)* We have used it a few times with homemade dough and thick crust pizza, it comes out flawlessly, a nice even crisp bottom and seasoned to perfection (comes seasoned but I added my own as well).* I only hand wash, it's not too bad, more of a wipe with hot water, anything stuck on comes off pretty easily.Overall, for $83.25 (at time of review) I'm sure this will last us the next 10 years of pizzas and bread galore. It exceeds my expectations every time I use it. Looking forward to testing it out in a pizza oven (at my sister's house).Would recommend!5 stars.

If you're in the market for a cast iron pizza pan, then this item is definitely worth putting on your shortlist of options. It is marginally more expensive than a handful of other comparable products, but this is largely due to the sheer size of this particular pan.Does the pan need to be this large? Most likely not. So there is some opportunity there to get the price down by reducing the diameter by an inch or two. The only scenario I can see needing a pan this large is if you either have a commercial oven, or an outdoor pizza oven in your backyard. Similarly, storing the pan is also a bit of an inconvenience due to the obvious heft (and again the large footprint). You'll also need to take proper care of it due to its cast iron design, of course, and I absolutely recommend pre-treating it with oil before each use if you want to make the post-cleanup less of a hassle -- and to just extend the life of the pan overall.Still, this is an impressive pan nonetheless. The price tag might be off-putting to some, but it is occasionally discounted to help lessen the financial burden at least. But if you're already on the hunt for a quality cast iron pan to begin with, you probably had a decent budget in mind anyhow. So if you are on the fence with your decision, this pan is easily worth a second look.

When this arrived and I struggled to pick it up, I had to ask myself what the heck I ordered.. Oh yeah, it was this pizza stone, or is it a weight for a dumbbell? Could be either or, it's so heavy!!! hahaIn terms of using it in the oven, it really doesn't provide much if any benefit. The weight makes it difficult to pull out of the oven, so you really do need a pizza peel to put the pizza in and take it out. Also it needs to be heated up before it's put to use, otherwise is becomes the opposite of helpful as it takes a bit to heat it up.For the grill, however... Oh my!!! I busted out the grill a bit early this year since we just had some great weather and this produced great results on the grill with ease!!!So definitely not worth it if using indoors in a regular oven.. But if you want to do pizza on a grill, this is ESSENTIAL!
