Love this little battery powered hand held pruning chain saw -- that's what I use it for. It's handy and compact enough to fit under my truck's back seat, and it's come in. hand removing small fallen trees out in the jungle. The batteries stay charged a long time. Comes with two batteries, one replacement chain, safety glasses and a charger. I like this unit.

I can use it twice then the chain comes off. It's frustrating to say the least.I've read the instructions several times to ensure I'm putting the chain on properly. In addition, the instructions advise to use Olive oil or mineral oil, but at time of purchase they suggest chain oil. It's not very clear why the difference in product to be used.

Great value. You can take it on the the trail without worrying about space. Battery lasts a decent amount of time. Power is not bad. If you have a small yard like mine and need to cut limbs every so often this is perfect!

Maybe 3 stars, -because base had to be loosened to accept battery pack, also no light, which is useless really, but may be necessary to be legal to use on a pole, & i guess it can't, because no 3rd terminal in base, -is a 3rd conductive term. in batteries however, & i was prepared for a full run with no shut off, when i got battery in place on similar tool with 3 term., -didn't happen (great), but there is about 5 volts there, which motor thankfully won't start up on! -probably typical, runs good, chain adj.-not very easy, all these are dangerous tools, & messy with oil & sawdust, but very handy! When charger's light turns green, it's at 100% charge.

I just recently learned about this tool, and what a game changer it turned out to be. I have a good sized yard with many plants needing trimming. Previously I had to choose between manual loppers or a sawzall to remove branches, or cut them down to size. I saw the mini-chainsaw used on a YT video, and found this tool.Pros: It is easy to handle, lightweight, and has sufficient battery power to get the job done. Used properly it provides quick and even cuts, and the top safety cover is sufficient to provide some protection against unintended cuts/injuries. I like that it came in a case, with tools to help make cutting easy. The price is right as well.Opportunities for improvement: The saw chain is fairly easy to adjust, but the screw driver provided is short so you end up battling against the bar trying to tighten the chain up. I used a different screwdriver with a longer shaft, which makes tightening the chain much easier. The safety switch is ambidextrous, but could use redesign to put it somewhere easier to depress with your thumb while using the pointer finger to start cutting. Because it is in an unusual position relative to both thumb and finger, it forces users to grip it in a way that can make it easier to lose firm control while in use.An automatic chain oiler would be be a great addition, but you can manage doing manual oiling with the provided bottle before, occasionally during, and after each use.Overall: If you're looking for a budget tool that will help you trim small-to-medium tree limbs quickly, I recommend this tool. Remember to keep it oiled, use within recommendations without forcing it to cut, and let the tool do the work, and I think you'll find it speeds up trimming tasks significantly.
