Anyone who has ever spent hours running wiring for a multiple camera security system in at home or at a business location, knows the painstaking task of troubleshooting endless lengths of wiring from the camera to the point of connection to the DVR/NVR. Anything from weather, rodents, and other physical barriers can cause things to get pinched up, disconnected or be hard to access for quick and accurate troubleshooting. This handy device can solve many of those problems when trying to figure out why your not getting a signal on a cam 100 feet away from the source. With so many different clone brands and systems that have flooded the already saturated market, this makes the job much easier. You can save so much time by having a tool like this that can give you the flexibility and versatility to troubleshoot multiple system types, and platforms. With a good variety of standard connection on the back, and the ability to test network cables just make it that much better. With HDMI support (1920x1080), a large touch screen display, and a rugged case to protect the device from the sometimes harsh conditions you may find yourself where a camera system is installed, this thing is worth more than its price tag. It offering support to so many different protocols and connection types, this all in one device brings good value to the hobbyist installer and even the professional troubleshooter.

I have tried and tested many different security systems. Even with the ones that install easily, there is still a lot of painstaking time spent adjusting camera angles, running cable that you hope is set up correctly to shorten your troubleshooting and set up time. This tool has really helped to change all of that!It is a solidly built, sturdy case, which means that even if you drop it, there’s some rugged play in there so as not to damage the equipment innards (not that I recommend dropping it!). As long as your cables are set up properly, which this tool can tell you whether the connection is right or not, you are good to go with setting up the proper angle and focus of your security camera setup… without having to run back and check in the monitors constantly with each tweak!

Disclaimer: I received this Item free of cost to do an unbiased review.I am very pleased with this unit, I have put it through numerous tests over the last two weeks and it handles just about everything perfectly.The Pros:1) Feature rich testing device that is useful for not just checking Camera systems but also great for checking/ Viewing AV equipment Via the HDMI and VGA ports on anything from a Streaming box to a Raspberry Pie. The added bonus is being able to check Ethernet Cables and confirm that they are wired properly.2) Nice screen resolution for the size. It's crisp and clear and the Audio is loud enough for most jobs.3) Works perfectly with PTZ camera systems I tried. First was an old Sony Camera and the Auto detect system was able to find the Channel. Movement of the Camera worked perfectly and unlike the original DVR that it was hooked up to I could actually use the 5x Zoom system on the Camera.4) Battery life seems to be about 2-3 hours, so it's perfect for most Jobs.5) The case is nice and it comes with all the accessories needed for CCTV, PTZ and Ethernet testing.6) I did not think the built in LED light was going to be handy but I was so wrong about that. It's great for finding the correct cable on the back of a DVR. I was about to go get a flashlight and then remembered it had one built in :)7) No problems using the HDMI to view video on Cable boxes or Satellite boxes, full picture and sound up to 1080P but I could not find a 4K 30 FPS signal to test it on. Anything that is 4K 60FPS and it causes the unit to drop the resolution down to 1080P. It's still very sharp picture on a screen of this size.8) Ethernet Tester is a cut above the typical ones that you find as it indicates the speed of the wiring layout.The Cons:1) Well the Obvious one is that there is no PPOE connection. You know that going in but this unit is so nice that I just wished it was the complete package.2) At first I was over the moon that it had a physical switch for turning off the Device. I figured that meant almost zero battery drain when it was off. Unfortunately something is still powered as the battery still dropped a bar over a five day period of no use.3) Finding PTZ addresses can be a bit confusing and the on screen description is worded poorly. You need to know the protocol, port type and Baud rate of the camera and once those are selected you can go to the channel and select "Scan+ or Scan- " One just increments up and the other down. Once it starts scanning just keep looking at the picture and when it starts moving by itself note the channel and then manually select that channel.Conclusion:Just a great tool to have for CCTV work and and kind of Video work in the field. Everything feels solid and the controls and picture quality are great.

Glad to have it. Makes setting up cameras a bit easier. Instead of making a dozen or more trips to setup correct angles or to test the Pan, Tilt, Zoom (PTZ) to ensure its working properly from outdoors at the PTZ itself. I mean up and down the ladder over a dozen times and into the house for just one camera and you can see the time savings and money right there alone. It’s capable of being used up to eight megapixel cameras. That’s pretty current of what’s the market has brought to us the consumer for personal home protection. I’m able to bring the cameras on screen menu (OSD) and setup a ton of parameter at the camera Itself. The screen is touch to get to the menu needed for any of the multitude of particular parameters for a assortment of camera types. TVI, CVI, AHD, and others plus more than thirty protocols. The instructions are good enough but could use a update for better clarification of symbols used. This one has a drop in removable battery that can be charged inside itself. Came with a ton of accessories that just enhance the capabilities because everything I need to do a camera system is pretty much in this kit. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!
