Learn to tune and then tune yourself
Use your fingers to pick at the string and striking a note. The tuner dial will move up and down to show you where the note is. Make sure the note says "A" in the corner when you pluck the string if it doesn't. You'll need to make a lot of adjustment.

Set Up the Bridge
Loosen the strings slightly to avoid breaking the strings when placing the bridge.
Step 2
Align the notches on the code with all the four violin strings.
Step 3
Hold the bottom of the code with both hands and stand vertically on the panel.
Step 4
Place it in the middle of F holes and correspond to both notches horizontally of "F" holes.

Pretty instrument and lovely presentation. Unfortunately the return window closed two days ago but I hadn’t gotten around to playing the instrument until now. The strings will not stay in place and tuning is impossible. Tried many times and ended up snapping a string, then decided it just wasn’t going to work. Bummed I’m stuck with an unplayable instrument.

Tuning pegs were not tight and would not EVEN HOLD STRINGS TIGHT much less in tune, rosin was old and hard as a rock, bridge would not stay in place. DO NOT purchase this violin, go to a music shop.

I think I can learn on it but you defiantly get what you pay for.The best thing about it is the case. You can defiantly tell when you hold it that it’s cheaper materials so it doesn’t have the best sound. The bow is ok. And for some reason the e string just won’t tune! But overall for the purchase price and purpose you can’t beat it.
