Outstanding. I replaced an existing mechanical (cable) system total time was less than two hours. included directions were adequate but read them through completely before starting. If you follow the directions carefully, they won't require bleeding. I did rear brakes first and they needed about 3 drops of oil to top off. The front brakes were better (I had perfected my technique) and required no fluid. These brakes have much more stopping power than the ones I replaced. Highly recommended. I'll have to see how they perform in the long run.

This is the second set. I bought my first set for the front of my bike a year ago. these brakes have lots of modulation and decent power with the resin pads that come with them and using a160mm tektro rotor on a 29 x 2.4 minion tire. However using semi metallic pads with a 180mm trp slotted rotor on the same wheel setup and modulation has dropped dramatically but the stopping power increased to the point that the brakes are almost on/off now.

Ok, so let’s start with weights….. I’m 230, and probably bigger than I should be for the things I do with a hard tail bike…I have a GT downhill bike with coder brakes for a comparison….While these aren’t quite the codeR brakes…. These things are pretty darn close, and for the money!! I would argue that they are close enough. Factory pads are decent, again for the money- dang.Mineral oil too so for convenience at my house this is great!
