I didn't buy them to do anything overtly practical. They are certainly fun to use for kata or Kali practice, but I honestly wanted "two swords I could put in my pocket" without them being purely decorative. Inexpensive, well made, spartanly pretty; I really like mine.

These wooden handle knives are so perfect as they are very sharp,fancy,stylish and elegant to possess.I do really use them in the kitchen for fine cuts of meats or veggies.They are easy to handle with a precision and finesse.They are made with a good steel and good to wash by hand by being very careful or in the dishwasher.I love how they feel in my hand while i am using them.A perfect choice cutlery to take with while going camping.

This is both pretty and satisfying to use. The blades are good quality and cut really well. I definitely favor the rounded edge over the flat edge knife, but that's to be expected.I was on the fence about having knives that also had their sheaths right in the handle because I worried about food and oils getting into the sheath. So far, it's been no trouble at all, and more so I think it's a major plus to these knives. There is nothing to lose, so they stay sheathed all the time they are in use, except for when I am using one and the other has to sit out. After a quick hand wash and towel dry, back they go together.The handles are pretty comfortable given their stocky shape and size. The edges are all rounded out and the handle is still comfortable in the hand, without any further contouring. This was a pleasant surprise as well.
