I put a set of these on a 2004 Honda Odyssey two years ago and was amazed at the difference of illumination produced. The light is much whiter in color and that improves your nighttime vision tremendously. Road signs, reflective lane markings (white and yellow striping) and the reflective dots (Botts' dots) are all much brighter and can be seen from greater distances than with regular halogen headlights. Also, the beam pattern seems to be a little wider and that gives you better side vision of the shoulders of the road and the beam seems to illuminate farther down the road increasing your forward vision too. Although whiter and brighter, they don't seem to affect oncoming traffic like 'projector beam' headlights sometimes to.The higher price may be a little hard to swallow but believe me, they are well worth it. Just be very careful when installing them and don't touch the glass bulbs with your fingers or let the bulbs touch anything oily or greasy. The bulbs operate at very high temperatures and any oil or grease will cause a hot spot on the glass bulb which will lead to the glass breaking. If you do accidently touch the bulb or get it dirty, don't fret, you can clean and wipe off the bulb with a clean cotton cloth or paper towel.I recently traded in my Odyssey for a new 2014 Nissan Frontier and the first time of nighttime driving with OEM light bulbs and the terrible yellow tinted light made me immediately order a new set of these SilverStar zXe for my new truck.

Definitely a lot brighter than standard headlights. I gave the outer lenses a polish and you can definitely see the difference. Let's see how long they last.

I really like these lights. Installed on a Mercedes W204, I agree with the ad copy that they give off a little more "attitude" than stock lights. Main thing to know is that they are a whiter light than stock, so if you have any other lights on the front (in my case, there are smaller lights over the main headlamps) you may want to swap everything out so you don't have color mismatches.Yes, I worry about those things.Anyway, design is exactly H7 here and fits precisely. Light quality is really rather good - they aren't going to be mistaken for the lights in a football stadium, but certainly very appropriate for night driving with better illumination (in my opinion) than stock. Now for longevity. I get about a year out of them. Frankly, for me this is a non-issue, since the lights are very easy to swap and the price is certainly approachable. I stop short of calling these "high performance" but I do think they perform better than stock and give a whiter, almost LED-like light. These will NOT be mistaken for true LED though, but for applications (like mine) where one doesn't want to bother with an all-out conversion these are certainly reasonable substitutes. This is my second set of these and I have zero problem using these lights going forward.

I bought and installed these bulbs in my 03 outback H6 sedan in June. I wore gloves and was extremely careful when I installed them making sure to get no skin oils on the glass and to not touch the bulbs themselves at all. (I forget where but this was highly suggested to improve the life of the bulbs.) I absolutely loved them and bought the high beam bulbs for my car about a month later. Now in January I have to replace the low beams because they burnt out, both in the same night (nerve racking while driving to say the least, I'm glad I have bright fog lamps too). I went to an auto parts store and just picked up some cheap bulbs($26 not so cheap really) for now. I am planning on getting new lamps soon since mine are quite foggy. (I wonder if this contributed to the short life) Once I install the new lamps I do ultimately plan on getting these bulbs again (possibly grab 2 packs and the high beams too just to have on hand if they both blow together again). I feel that the pros outweigh the cons for me.Pros:Easy to install.Bright white light.Great for lighting up the sides of the road. (I live about an hour out back country roads, with no street lamps. Seeing the sides of the roads is important for avoiding running into the animals that like to jump into the road in front of cars.)They make the roads and trees the correct colors as if in daylight. (Again this makes it easier to see the animals)They do look nice. Not horribly expensive. $40 compared to the $26 I had to spend at the store for cheap ones quickly.Cons:Not any better at seeing down the road than normal bulbs. (However the high beams fixed this for me)Seem to last about 6 months for me. I was hoping for longer with the price but considering where I live I drive a lot, around 2 hours a day or 80 miles. Over 6 months that's about 360 hours of my lights being on constantly (I can not turn them off even during the daylight)

Where I live, we have a horrible problem with the deer population. Every single night you can bet you're going to have to make some evasive manuever to dodge a deer, it never fails. So I decided to beat them to the punch and increase my odds out there. I drive a 2004 Mustang and really was considering HID headlights. After doing my research I figured if I was going to get HID's then I'd have to do it the full right way and get projector headlights and all that. Rather than going through all that work and effort I did more research and came to these Sylvania 9007 bulbs. I quickly decided that this would be the best option for me and I was right!First, I'm not a hand's on guy (don't even change my own oil), so when I tell you me and my friend installed these ourselves in less that 15 minutes, I hope you understand how easy it was! They light emitted is vast, beautifully white and bright, and stylish. I'm very impressed with how effective these headlight bulbs are and will be using them for awhile. All I have to say is........now while I'm driving at night, I laugh at the deer because I can see them from so far away. Or in the middle of a field which I never would have seen without Sylvania 9007's!
