I kept putting it off because I was expecting problems. My outside cover doesn't come off and I was figuring that I'd run into problems getting the rod in. Inside, it goes into the wall and immediately up, so I figured I'd have a hard time turning that corner. The rod is insanely flexible. I used a leaf blower instead of my shop vac, put it in on the inside and cleaned both from the inside and outside. Took me maybe 15 minutes including moving the washer and getting set up and cleaned up. Also used the thinner brush to clean out the dryer, and it worked great.

Je cherchais un produit de ce genre pour nettoyer le conduit de sortie de ma sécheuse qui me servirait entre les nettoyages fait par des professionnels. Ce produit fait très bien ce travail.

If you read the item specifics, this product is not what is described therein. The product does not work as advertised for the standard pipes in your residence. It does not bend as needed.

I was very pleasantly surprised how well this unit has performed for me, living a condominium which has long clothes dryer vents of about 35 feet i was wondering whether this would be able to clean the lint without a lot of problems especially since there were a couple of 90 degree elbows at either end of the vents . The flexible drive rods entered the 90 degree elbows with no difficulty so was able to clean a 24 foot length from the outside in about 20 minutes ,and am very satisfied with the results , I still have to clean the remaining distance from the dryer of about 10 t0 12 feet but am quite confident that the unit will do well there too .

Product was shipped in its original box shown in the photo and by the time it arrived to my house it was crushed pretty good ... The contents survived but I like to keep things like this in its original packaging and now I will need to find another way to store it & all its accessories.

Purchased this because our dryer repairman indicated that we should clean out the vent line or our warranty may be voided. He also suggested that cleaning the vent would prevent possible lint fires. So, looked around and came across this model. I read the reviews and figured I would give this a shot based upon the product description and reviews. Our dryer vent comes vertically off the back bottom of the dryer. It then makes a bend at the ceiling and yet another bend to get outside. Our exhaust duct is also smooth metal - not a foil or plastic (which should be replaced with rigid smooth metal).Followed the directions to remove the louver to the exterior vent and disconnected the dryer from the vent inside. Hooked up my shop vac to the outside (with the included vent adapter that came with this vent cleaning kit). Took my cordless screw gun according to the instructions for the cleaning kit and cleaned the vent from the inside. Then swapped the vac to the inside and cleaned from the outside. My total length of pipe is about 15 feet so I couldn't do it in one direction.Once finished, hooked my dryer back up, packed up my drill and the cleaning kit and went onto another chore. It took me more time to write this review than it took to do the task from start to finish. Ok - I might be exaggerating, but literally took about 20 minutes from start to finish including cleaning up.This is a great product - just take your time (you really do not need much) and follow the instructions. I highly recommend this to anyone. On a scale of 'do-it-yourself' from 1 to 10 (10 being an extreme do-it-yourselfer to 1 being the 'I do not know which end of the hammer to hold' type of person, I would say that you need to be a 3 or higher in order to successfully use this product.

I am very happy with my purchase. This is a very complete and well thought out kit to clean the vents. It saved me lots of time and grief. The kit is also packed nicely so it is easy to store the items until I need them again.I have a very long dryer vent duct and it had accumulated years of lint. The instructions were very clear (both in spanish and english) and the kit included features for almost every issue that I encountered while cleaning the vents. The only problem that I had is that my shop-vac has a small diameter hose and nozzle (1-1/4" I think) and the kit is designed for 4" hoses and includes an adapter that was still to big for my vacuum. It was not a big problem, I simple wrapped the vacuum nozzle with a rug to get a tight seal.Highly recommended!!!

Surprisingly high quality components. Actually worked better than I was expecting. Each rod is solid yet flexible nylon with high-quality fittings. The brushes and other components were also very good quality. Included instructions were clear and comprehensive along with good photos of the LintEater in action.I was shocked how much lint came out of a 14/ft length dryer duct pipe system that's permanently built into my home. I would say it was a good large pillowcase full. Not only is my dryer duct 14/ft long, it also has two 90° bends that the LintEater system had no issue flexing around.Tips and suggestions:- Utilize the 4" cap shop vacuum attachment, that comes in the kit, on the opposite end you're cleaning from and hook your shop vacuum exhausts hose (pushing air out as opposed to sucking in) to to help blow the lint out as you are brushing/cleaning from the opposite end. Really helped in my case.- Also, be aware that you will need a 1/2 inch chuck on your drill or you will have to utilize a bolt with the head cut off one end to fit smaller drill chucks. My poor dryer, I'm shocked it was able to dry anything. Now drying times have been cut in half and I am no longer worrying about a potential fire or burning out the heating element on my dryer. Will use the kit over and over 2-3 times a year from this point forward. Probably will have paid for itself due to the energy savings from cutting drying times in half over the next 1-2 months.Well worth the investment.
