This item is a fantastic value! It worked every bit as effectively for me as a similar one my friend spent three times the money on. I used it on a large area rug, and I was pleased to find it didn't need a mat at all. I did end up buying an inexpensive set of **Velcro foot straps** separately. They were quite helpful because my foot tends to slide off the foot pedal, likely a result of left-sided weakness from a past stroke.

I like this a lot. I'm disabled and I got this to help with exercise. It's not to heavy so I can move it without it hurting my lower back

This is the 2nd stepper I have purchased & I like it much better. It can be used in either a manual or powered mode. Even with the power it is lighter & easier to move than my manual only model. It is very compact compared to a treadmill or elliptical but still gives a decent workout for the legs, thighs & butt while watching TV or working on the computer. It is very quiet to operate in either modes. The multiple resistance levels give a good workout and I can make adjustments based on how my legs are unfortunately hurting that day. I like the ease of reversing the peddling direction and changing the speed. I think it is a great value for the money given the features it has. The only thing that didn't come with it that I added, was a strap to connect it to the chair I use so it doesn't slide during use.
