I find Gravity pics great for the rock and blues I play. Their excessive thickness provides a lot of control over your picking, and the polished pick surface makes for smooth strumming and picking. Even before using the Gravity pics, I was using pics in excess of 1 mm thickness. Again, they provide more control over your pic work. The Gravity pics are very durable. Though they cost lots more than the average guitar pic, they last for quite a long time.

These picks let you glide over all strings. I use on Bass, electric and acoustic guitars. Very nice.

Excellent guitar pick , thick with no flex give. I find this useful for speed and precision picking. Also comes in different see through colors. A little pricey but worth the cost.

I wanted to try this, both because I thought it was gimmicky (I remember all the arcane guitar widgets sold in the magazines back in the 1990s) and because it was recommended highly by several people who weren't in the market to sell it and didn't need a sponsorship bad enough to tarnish their credibility. It's not my flexible .75mm celluloid. It's rigid, but glass smooth, and the precise nature of not having a lot of flex really makes a huge difference.I've been playing guitar for over 30 years. This is the single greatest product in picks hands down since they discontinued a specific D'Andrea pick years ago.I also don't lose them as often, because they're $5.If you're on the fence, I highly recommend you try at least one or two. It has really improved the precision, speed, dynamics, and articulation of my playing by being predictable with every movement and gliding effortlessly across the strings. It is not going to make you a great guitarist, but it might help with your speed and attack.

OK, so I had seen mention of gravity picks on forums. I then realized that the picks JHS includes with their pedals with the JHS logo on it is a gravity pick. I tried it out and liked it. These are made of acrylic--you know the glass they use on big aquariums. Anyway, it's a physically solid pick at 1.5 mm. One of the qualities of this picks (the Classic Standard 1.5mm) is that they're intended (I believe) to give you a very pronounced pick attack. Some people really don't like this, but as a fan of classic rock, I love it. I think that's what it means when they say that these "bright" picks. If you want a more rolled off (not as bright) pick attack, you probably want something with a more rounded edge that will slide off the string without "catching," which is what creates the attack, from what I can tell. I've seen complaints about these picks on forums; that the edges wear quickly, but I think that's the intent of this design--to give that bright pick attack. Anyway, these are kind of expensive for guitar picks, but I get bored and have to try something new and really like these. Thanks!

I've been trying all sorts of picks since way back when, once I tried my first Gravity pick I had to try more. For electric guitar playing (blues, jazz, rock) I find the standard 1.5mm to be just right. Some thinker picks can have a kind of "clack" sound the them. These are silent and smooth. I like the standard 1.10mm for playing acoustic.

I have tried all kinds of thicker Dunlop picks to get a 'bidget' thick hard pick... Just get the Gravity. The feel does not match anything (cheaper than Gravity) Dunlop I have tried.

The title said classic gold, the picture shows the gold, the description classic. What I received was classic standard in acrylic. Took a chance because of the price. (1.5 gold in sea foam is my personal favorite). Thought for the savings I will use other colors, no interest in the acrylic (just don't feel right to me). They look nice though.Bottom line, It wasn't what I thought I was ordering but a quality premium pick.
