This thing is slower than windows 98. It takes forever to start, then open an app (Netflix) then watch a show. My god, if you enjoy wasting your life away staring at the red ring of death and I’m not talking about the Xbox 360, I’m talking about the load ring then this is the product for you.

This Blue-ray disk drive supports almost all available audio and video format files. The picture quality is very good. The screen mirroring capability let you to stream any video files from mobile phone on tv. You also can download many apps on the disk drive.Easy to use, good quality, though doesn't support older audio or video format files

It is a great blu-ray player. No problems there. Reads the discs pretty fast and you are off to watching a movie in no time.I also use it for Netflix. And it works okay. It can get pretty slow when you are trying to looking through a lot of tv shows and movies, but I am not surprised as it really wasn't designed to use the newer Netflix app that updated around two years ago. This isn't like your computer or an xbox/ps4 that has a lot of computing power so it can run the app effortlessly. Your average smart phone is probably many times faster in processing power than this blu-ray player. But other than that, I enjoy it for streaming through Netflix. One problem I was having with it early on was having a fast connection over wi-fi. My router is directly across from it in my living room (maybe 12feet away max) and it was horribly slow over wi-fi. Anything I played on Netflix kept stopping to buffer every 30 seconds. And yes, I have a very fast internet connection. It made no difference if it was connected to 2.4 or 5ghz connections. I ended up running a network cable to the player instead which fixed the speed problems.I also like that my computer and smart phone sees the blu-ray player on the network and if you are on something like youtube, you get a button that lets you play it on tv. So when I see a video on my computer I would rather watch on my big screen tv, I just turn on the tv, then click that button and it automatically turns on the blu-ray player, launches the youtube app and starts playing the video. Same goes for my phone either in the youtube app. Or if i am watching a video save on my phone, it will stream it to the player. I can also use it to show pictures.I bought it when it went on sale for around $70 which was a decent price and worth it for me. This is probably the last version of the stand-alone blu-ray player. So if you need one, this is the one you will probably be getting. I highly doubt they are making newer ones. I have owned ones from other companies too, and the Sony ones always worked the best.

Works as expected, nice and small. Picture looks great, and plays everything I tried so far even discs that were slightly scratched and stopped working in my other player. Remote that comes with it has buttons that can be setup for many TV brands, but it didn't have the one for my cheap one. Might save you needing two remotes though which would be an added bonus.

It works perfectly. plays all my movies and i'm able to watch streams on youtube. If I'm going to nitpick, this would've been perfect if it has more apps like Twitch or Google Chrome. but aside from that, it perfectly suits my needs with the bonus of it being able to play PS3 games.
