If you want to get the weight of your saxophone off of your neck, and keep the simplicity of a single strap, this is a good solution. It goes over your left shoulder and under your right shoulder. As easy to put on as a neck strap. Easy to adjust the length. I have used it with alto, tenor, and bari no problem. The clip won't damage your horn. The weight is on your left shoulder, not your neck.

I have used this strap for the past several years and it works for me. It does take pressure of my neck and relieved traditional neck straps caused in my back and particularly around my right shoulder blade. I'm a broad guy so the foam on the strap isn't too large or uncomfortable to me, but I understand how that could be a problem for people of a smaller build.I do have one MAJOR problem with it. I play several hours a day most days and the clip for this strap doesn't hold out. I've had them brake on me during performance three separate times (of course I was holding it so it didn't fall, just had to run off and get another strap). It seems the life of the strap is between 8-12 months in my situation. You can see the deterioration on the clip overtime and will be able to tell when you need to replace it. They should replace the clip with a more durable plastic or even some sort of metal.Overall I like this strap. It definitely relieves some pressure (and I personally like the way it looks), but there is room for improvement.

This is a comfortable strap for a tenor sax, but not if I wear a T-shirt. I’ve loved the brand — indeed, this would be my 5th strap for my various saxes from Neotech, but the neoprene is not like any of the others. The new cheaper foamy material has a hard edge to it. I would have to wear a collared shirt every time I use the strap, otherwise the edge of strap can bump into the skin on my lower neck area. It is not comfortable in that case, rubbing and irritating. The former neoprene has a soft edge and I’ve never had issues. The previous quality straps wear out eventually. I am not replacing them with this model of strap. Attached is a picture of the foamy material at the edge.

Been using this model of neck strap for several years now and I like it so much better than the traditional style. Bought this one to replace my previous one, which was finally falling apart after several years of abuse.

I purchased the extra long Sling and have using it for 3-4 months to play my tenor sax. It saves alot of stress on the back of my neck. I give this a "qualified 4 stars" because it is great for practicing or playing in a sitting position, but is more difficult to play standing up because the strap (and the horn) tend to gradually slide down low and require adjustment from time to time. I bought the model with the "doggie leash" type clasp so I don't worry about accidently dropping my horn. Also, I am 6ft, 185 lbs and required the extra long model. Check the Neotech website for sizing information before purchasing.

Took the pressure off of my neck and helped to redistribute the weight of the sax across the back and shoulders...much better than a neck strap and it has some cushion on it too...

I bought this strap for use with a tenor sax to take some pressure off my neck to try to avoid potential health issues. I really wanted it to work, but I found that the strap pulls my collar down and pinches my neck on the left side and the neck of the sax wants to continually dive down and to the left, so I constantly have to try to re-position the horn as a I play. Because it's so difficult to keep the instrument centered, it makes it hard to play the keys in the lower stack accurately. Also, to keep the sax from diving, I need to apply constant pressure through the keys with my left fingers/wrist, which after forty minutes of practice, leads to a sore forearm, which seems like a recipe for tendonitis over time. Also, the neoprene material of the Neo Sling is not very thick, so does not supply as much padding as I was expecting. This strap is so uncomfortable that I actually went back to my neck strap which had been giving me neck and back pain. It hurts, but at least I can play the horn with that strap. I want to return the Neo Sling, but I'd have to pay shipping both ways plus a 20% restocking fee, which means I'd get a whopping refund of approximately $4.00.If you are looking for a more ergonomic alternative to a neck strap, I strongly recommend just getting a harness, which will take the weight off your neck and distribute it over a wider area between your trapezius, latissimus dorsi, and anterior deltoid muscles. On the other hand, the Neo Sling will simply shift the weight to one side of your neck and, in my experience anyway, will cause additional problems resulting in pain and reduced playability of your sax.

My previous alto was a late '70s Mark VII and was too freakin' heavy. Now, I am playing a Canadian horn. Better than Selmer's madness, that is for sure. Don't need this any longer; was too cheap to buy the 'real thing'.
