This doesn’t heat pool at all!!! Total waste of money!!! I buy so much through Amazon but guess I have to take the loss on this one because return time ran out!! Please don’t waste your money on this!!!

Bought 2 of these units. Every hose that came with it blew out. Lost a 1/4 of the water in my pool because of one of the house breaking.

I ordered one unit for an 18’ round x 54” deep above ground pool. I just wanted to see if it would make a difference before investing a lot of money in it. When the nighttime temps started dipping into the 60’s, my water was dropping into the mid-low 70’s overnight. (Part of that was me being lazy and not putting the solar cover back on after a swim.) after installing this solar heater, my temps have not dropped below 80 degrees overnight. So it is helping. I am still on the fence about ordering a second unit for next season. Now about the unit itself…the hoses provided are ridiculously short, and one is only to hook up an additional unit (barely a foot in length)! You will need to order extra hose to reach all of your connections and to be able to place the unit in the best place to get the maximum amount of sun. Aside from that, install was very simple! The other issue I had is the manual states in two places that it comes with a cloth cover for use when you don’t need additional heating for your pool. There is NO cloth cover and the seller argued with me that it was not supposed to come with one until presented with photos of the manual where it stated it did. I still never got the cover, but they said they would issue a $5 credit which I have yet to see. Whatever - a towel should do just fine to cover it if need be. Or you can get fancy and install a bypass, but I’m not all about having all that messy hose laying around…or the added work and expense. Hope this helps anyone considering this solar heater.

I cannot stress enough- DO NOT buy this. It is nothing more than a fancy looking dome with a spiral inside. There is absolutely nothing related to “solar” heating that this will provide. The title is deceiving and false. You’ll see the exact same effect by just letting the sun heat the water. I do not generally write reviews, but had to for this product. Thankfully I’m within the return window and can get my $130 back. If not, it would have been a costly lesson. Please- save yourself the irritation and anger you’ll feel when you receive it. Lesson learned- when it seems to good to be true- it definitely is. For a few additional $$, you can get an actual solar panel that will actually do what this product says it does.
