I really didn't know what to expect of this keyboard, but I am delighted with it. It is at least 3" wider than the original one I bought from Apple. I have a Gen 2 ipad, and this is 3" wider than the iPad, and virtually a full sized keyboard. You can still fold it down to flat, though, and it has an electrical contact to connect, so no Bluetooth, no pairing, no recharging. I am very happy with this purchase.

If you’re looking for something that will last you 8 months and then start disintegrating, look no further. Seemed really good at first, almost like the Apple model, but cheaper. Then you find out that it would have been better to spend the money on the genuine Apple version, because this thing just falls apart and every other time I use it I get a “This Accessory Is Not Recognized By This Device” error message. I’m sure it will stop working altogether soon. Waste of money.

I bought the item and received it as promised and it worked well. Within a week of receiving it the the finish on the outside of the keyboard started peeling off its backing and now around 50% of the finish has come off. As a result it looks terrible when closed. That said it still works well and there are no problems I’m with its use. Just looks terrible.

It’s exactly like the one I had before. After a while they just don’t work or get beat up from lots of use. I have the first generation of iPad Pro so it’s nice to know I can still replace the keyboard when needed

Bought this cover in Jan 2023 to replace the Apple keyboard that lasted several years. Looks like the original keyboard, same features and worked great for 6-7 months. The seams started to come apart and at first I just glued them back together. Now more seams are separating and the keyboard is now not recognized by the IPad. Checked the settings, air cleaned the connection which didn’t change my problem. Now it’s just a cover/protection for the screen but holds it up the IPad so I can use the on screen keyboard. Disappointing!

THisSmart Keyboard for my iPad has suddenly stopped working after only a few months of use. I have contacted Apple and gone through their protocol and they determined that the issue is with the keyboard, and not my iPad. I have updated my iPad to the latest iOS, I have cleaned the three metal contact points with a dry cleaning cloth on both the iPad and the keyboard. I have also shut down and restarted the iPad with the keyboard disconnected and then reattached the keyboard. It still does not work. The keyboard magnetizes to the iPad but the iPad does not register that it is attached. When I select a text field to type in, the digital keyboard on the iPad’s display pops up, indicating that it does not know a Smart Keyboard is attached.We have tried all of this with another iPad and this keyboard does not work on either iPad.The keyboard is clean, never had a drink spill on it, and has no tears or damage.I don't see a way to contact the seller about this, so I am writing this review in hopes that someone might reach out and help me with a solution to this extremely disappointing issue.
