Bought this two months ago and do not recommend. Initially it had one sticky key - k would appear randomly as I was typing. Now the battery has completely stopped working and it won't hold any charge so needs to be constantly plugged in to work at all.

I use this with a Microsoft Surface Pro 9Connectivity: no connectivity issues, rarely I will need to turn it off and on however the Bluetooth connectivity is having no issues so far, connects almost immediately when setup.Setup: Initial setup process took a minute at most.Keyboard: The feel of the keyboard is brilliant as the keys are easy to press however firm enough to be satisfying when typing.Trackpad: the trackpad clicking functions are very loud. The clicking was also very stiff as you need to apply some Pressure for it to actually click. The magnetism is quite strong as I can move the Surface around my desk easily without it falling off. however if you try to lift your Surface up, the keyboard will fall off.The battery life is incredible, I work in IT and use this frequently and only need to charge it once a week. Power switch also feels veedg sturdy. The performance is very good and I have seen very little connectivity issues unless the battery gets very low.I do wish there was a better function for telling when the battery is low. Such as an app or LED green/orange/red light. If you’re looking for something easy to setup, nice typing and consistent, this is your product. If you want something quiet, perhaps look for another solution as the stuff trackpad is very loud.

On a half-off deal this was the clear choice. So far I've had it for a couple months and haven't needed to charge it--the off switch is a definite plus there. (Albeit the Surface and keyboard ARE off most of the time.)Its hold on the bottom of the Surface is a bit weaker than the official version this is replacing, and the touchpad is a little bit wonky as per other reviews; but this costs a tenth of what the official one does and half what other highly rated alternatives do, so I can't complain at all despite the room for improvement. It also looks just as nice as the official Alcantara one, I was surprised.

You cannot get a better dupe for the wonky surface pro laptop. Much better design and functionality than the original surface pro keyboard. Very happy with my purchase as far. I've had mine for a few weeks now. Hopefully the longevity matches the design and functionality I've seen from the product so far. Easy to connect and durable as well.

I bought this keyboard last year,It works nice, very responsive, battery last long, three finger and four finger touchpad gestures works fantastic. I am happy with overal quality.Somehow it works better than original microsoft signature keyboard since it is working fully wirelessly and you can detach it from your surface pro,Also you can use it as an universal bluetooth keyboard with touchpad for your TV, phone, other tablets, etc. When you close the typing cover it will put your computer into sleep which is nice, however it could be activated by your magnetic smart watch or sylus pen, so don't get surprised :D

This is an affordable alternative to other Surface keyboards, but it definitely feels like a budget option to me. The keys are nice and quiet if that's something you care about, and it's made of decent materials. However, the magnets holding it to the Surface are weak and it doesn't "sit up" very well, most of the time laying flat on the desk instead of at a slight angle, which isn't very ergonomic. My biggest issue is with the track pad, which has poor sensitivity and doesn't work very well when trying to make small, precise mouse movements. Navigating lists and menus, which I do frequently for work, is a hassle since track pad doesn't pick up subtle movements very well. It's fine for general browsing, but even trying to click a link in an email takes more effort than it ought to.It gets the job done, but that's about all I can say for it. I would have kept mine if not for the fact that I'm replacing the Surface I intended to use the keyboard with, and the keyboard will not be compatible with the other model I'm getting.

Simple and functional keyboard and track pad. Not illuminated. Using with MS Pro X SQ2. Covers screen completely with no over hang. Magnetically holds to the ProX nicely. Bluetooth paired easily. Charged well in first charge. Note this is a blue tooth keypad, which means it won’t wake the Pro X if the Pro X is in sleep mode. Once ProX powers up the keypad is quickly available. This also means it must be charged via the USB-C cable included, but also does it tax the Pro X battery. Will report back in a few months if the overall performance does not live up to expectations.

The keyboard arrived within 24 hours of purchase. securely packed and free of damage. A thin product but matched perfectly to the Surface Pro X. Charging was simple. USB provided, plugged in 1 hour later, ready to go.The keyboard is attached to the laptop via the sockets and magnets gave a secure fit that covered the screen fully for protection on closure.Synchronised to the laptop in seconds using the instructions provided, supported by the onboard Bluetooth finder.Using the keyboard is so much easier than the onscreen keyboard. The wrist/palm rests are well positioned in a soft felt feeling material. No stickiness, soft and smooth, excellent.Keys work well and are comfortable and responsive when working, well-spaced for my haphazard typing skills. At present, all the functions work well.I would recommend this product to all Surface Pro X users. It is well built, comfortable and a quality product. Supported by being 20% the price of the Microsoft equivalent. A no-brainer, really. If you need a keyboard, I encourage you to take the plunge. £34.99 is little to pay for the ease of use and comfort given. Take the plunge and go for it! I put it off for too long and used the on-screen keyboard, not worth the delays and aggravation when completion writing tasks.

EDIT: I've been dealing with the company's customer service with these issues, and they've been great in attempting to find a resolution for the situation. Very responsive, which is rare.If you're reading this review and expecting this keyboard to be of the same quality and caliber of the keyboard that Microsoft sells for the Surface Pro X, move on. This is a low-cost substitute - it gets the job done, but the quality is not there and I'm not sure yet about longevity.POSITIVES:- It uses USB-C for charging, which was a welcome sight. Since it was a low-cost product, I was expecting microUSB charging - glad I was wrong.- Battery life so far has been great. I've been using this keyboard non-stop so far for a day and it has only gone down 3%.- Bluetooth pairing was fast and simple: after pressing the key combination to put the keyboard into pairing mode, the Surface Pro X automatically found the keyboard and they paired together after entering a code.- Keys have a good feel to them with good travel. It is very comfortable to type on - I'm actually using it now to type this review.NEGATIVES:- Magnets to attach the keyboard to the device are weak. They fall off fairly easily compared to the Microsoft official keyboard that I tried.- While the keys have good travel, they feel cheap. This will most likely be personal preference, but I've found keys on a $10 keyboard to feel better than these. But, for the price, I can't really expect more than this.- Trackpad feel is horrible. It is multi-touch with gesture support, but it feels very plastic-y and very stiff when trying to do a left or right-click. I mostly have had to just do the single tap for clicking because of the difficulty of pressing the trackpad if you're not exactly on the bottom left/right edge of the trackpad.FYI - I wasn't sure about this when I was comparing keyboards, but this does not have a backlight for the keys.Don't get me wrong - this keyboard will get the job done. I've been able to use this with no issue. For the price, it's fine. Just don't expect it to be the same quality as a $100+ keyboard from Microsoft.

Died after 17 months! The bluetooth connection AND the built-in battery charging system simply stopped working after 17 months. I thought thta my SurpfacePro USB-C ports had failed so after reimaging my surface pro, I discovered to my dismay that this keyboard no longer will hold a charge and connect via bluetooth. I was able to charge the keyboard via a USB-C connection -- but it does not work anymore. :-(
