Part are not easy to install, having hard time inserting ring , not only that parts are not the same size ! It’s work for now but next time I will order the part from Milwaukee website, and I think you should do the same thing to avoid headaches!!

The retaining ball fell out during the first use. The assembly was gritty and difficult to turn the direction selector. This will be going into the trash.

Budget priced repair part for my M12 Milwaukee cordless ratchet. My ratchet after much hard use was occasionally slipping and hard to switch back and forth from forward to reverse. It fits and it works but it has some issues.Looks like it took a hard hit as you'll see in the photo, the directional lever is smashed and missing some metal. Still usable and mostly cosmetic. Next it's full of grit and metal shavings. See photo for example of stuff I was digging out of it. Be sure to disassemble and fully flush and clean it before installing. This grit will cause premature wear and make it difficult to switch forward and reverse. And last I received a 3/8" drive head. Not the 1/4" stated in the title. The picture does show dimensions for a 3/8" but the listing is for a 1/4". This is really important for me as I'm using it in tight spaces and often don't have the space for a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter. So I still need a 1/4" ratchet head.

the 2557 power ratchet is a very good and robust tool and I rely on it everyday. but if you torque on it too much the anvil breaks. Inevitably I forget this limitation and end up overtorquing it, so I keep replacement anvils around. It works well, maybe a little rough at first. You will need to grease it because it comes dry. Will it hold up? Only time will tell. That said, it cant be any worse than the dicey OEM milwaukee anvil that costs twice as much!
