I have a 16' Lund Angler side console. I've always wanted an anchor in this style due to holding power to weight ratio. This one does not disappoint, it's plenty for my small boat. The rubber coating makes it much less scary to drop it into the front storage, no worrying about slicing a life jacket strap with a sharp metal burr. There one point where the coating is torn, where the main pivoting shaft meets the hinge rod in the center of the flukes. However, since I'm only using it in fresh water, and for the most part I only anchor a few times a year, I am not at all worried about corrosion. Also I have no idea how they could realistically coat the entire anchor without any flaws since it's a post-assembly dip. Personally I think it's fine. The chain is plenty sturdy for my boat and an anchor of this size. The rope is also a good diameter and good quality.Definitely a good value for a good product.

I ordered the Greenfield Complete Boat Anchor Kit for our 16 footer as the primary Anchor when we are out on the river, it is so nice to be able to purchase a "complete set" ready to go with everything needed to install and use it. Everything the in the Anchor Kit is Durable & Reliable and met all of the safety standards when inspected by the Coast Guard. I gave the Greenfield Complete Boat Anchor Kit a Full Five Stars Across the Board. It is Durable, Complete, Easy to Use, Affordable, and met all Safety Standards to name a few of them.

I'm using this on a 16' Aluminum boat, and it holds me in place very well even in a decent current. The only issue I've had is when it gets snagged on a log or something, it can be challenging to get it loose.

This is without a doubt a quality anchor. Well made, well coated. The huge advantage is less likely to scratch your boat as it's vinyl covered. The disadvantage to that is it's going to wear that coating out faster and then water will get into the anchor/chain. If that happens, then it will never dry out so will rust far faster than an uncoated anchor. How long before that happens though, might be years depending on usage. This for me will be an every day fishing anchor because its light, so is easy to cast out and retrieve. Won't scratch my boat, and when it does start to fail/rust, I can replace it knowing that it protected my boat finish. If that works for you, then you can't go wrong. If however you want something that will last 20 years and do a lot of saltwater anchoring, look at SS with a lot of SS chain.

This is a well-manufactured Fluke anchor. It is poly-coated on the anchor and the rode chain. Included are the anchor, the rode chain, 100 ft. nylon rope, and the shackles. This anchor has a useful quality that some others don't have. That is where the rope attaches to the ring that attaches to the anchor. This will assist should the anchor become stuck on the bottom. The ring can slide the length of the anchor thereby allowing for manipulating it free at the opposite end. This one detail can save your anchor. I would put this above all anchors that do not have an open shaft like this. Many including myself have lost anchors because we didn't have this feature. For those that need an anchor make this feature a must-have in your search. I highly recommend this product's features as a good sensible choice for an anchor if it functions as described and meets your needs. This is an update to my original review of this anchor. I stand by the features of the product. The features are great. Let me just say I tried using it in the bay at the Jersey shore this past weekend on my bass boat. This is a sandy bottom area. This anchor did not hold the boat. I'm still trying to figure out why, but using as recommended it failed for me. There are better products available here on Amazon. I can't recommend this.

I got a small 14' Boston Whaler for following around my daughters while they learn how to sail. A small Boston Whaler like that tends to be a little bouncy. Unfortunately, the anchor is stored up in the front locker where the ride is the roughest. The Greenfield coated anchor kit is the perfect solution as the rubberized texture that they coat the anchor and chain with help protect the boat and at the same time stop any banging noises when going over big waves (anything over 2' in that boat). The anchor and chain seem very well constructed. The nylon rope seems to be of good quality as well as are the 3 included stainless steel shackles. This is a fantastic kit!
