About this item

  • Blade length: 265mm. The blades of all Z-Saws are made from polished cold rolled high carbon steel strips which we source from prestigious manufacturers in the international market under strict quality control.
  • Pitch: 1.75mm. The teeth of Z-Saw blades are ground using our self-developed automatic tooth grinding system using CBN grinding wheels. Even the smallest distortion will be automatically detected and carefully corrected.
  • Thickness: 0.6mm. Z-Saw makes saw blades with several different basic tooth patterns (e.g. rip / cross / universal) each of which is applied to different saw blades with subtle variations depending on the use of each individual saw.

OMG!!! Learned about this saw from a Japanese Youtuber. WOW! Way better than the cheaply made Suizan. This saw cuts so straight, smooth to start, and never grabs. For woodworking this is my new favorite brand. Actually just ordered 2 more blades due to future prices going up. I can see this saw adding 30% more cost for the value. Also ordered their dovetail 150mm saw. Hands down the best! My search is over. This saw can not be beat!

First of all I must admit that I’m already a big fan of Japanese pull saws, so my opinion might be colored. The saw is great quality and the assembling is easy.No faults or misshapeds are present and each saw tooth is sharp and perfectly shaped

Seems like decent enough quality, but the advertised blade thickness is 0.6 mm. When it arrived (with no packaging material at all, just floating around in the box) I found that the actual kerf is about twice what is advertised. Not fit for cutting fret slots. Not sure why they would list "thickness" and not be talking about the actual kerf. Boo

works great for cross cuts, not so good for rips, but that is OK.

I read about these saws while reading about earth shelters and, having never heard of such a thing, thought I'd give it a try.I must say, I do very much like this saw. Before it, I'd only a few times used a traditional westerner's hand saw, and did not care for it, and therefore typically use a power tool instead. But, somehow, this saw is much easier to use - I don't feel like I'm fighting with the wood, and the cut is pretty easy to control. Lightweight, sharp, and certainly effective, and it has this feel of a small spear, which makes for some fun ninja action when walking from A to B.When I got it, I decided to use it exclusively for any cutting in my next few projects, and have since used it exclusively on three small animal exhibits to great effect. I'd buy it again.

Seems many people either love or hate Japanese saws. I feel like thes saws are a completely different tool than traditional American saws. If I'm on a bench, I prefer to use my old trusty Diston. When work changes and I have to cut materials in strange places(the floor, up high, or down in a confined space) I reach for the Japanese saw. This saw will follow slight curves and cuts like butter if you let the saw do the work. This saw if flimsy and does not do well on long straight cuts. I think it would probably do great on dovetails though and I regularly make 4-6 inch straight cuts with it. Cuts clean and consistently. If you hit a nail though, it's done. So......don't do that.

An excellent saw. I use this saw regularly, from making cabinetry to sculpture. still very sharp, but I am very careful what I cut with it. Good saw.

Very sharp, processes wood quickly. Mine arrived with a slight bend in the blade and the shipping box was undamaged. So it left factory as so, but was very easy to straighten back out

I don't understand how this saw is just $25! Within just a few minuets of working with this I can tell it's the real deal. The blade is obviously well made, and the cut is fantastic! Barely any effort need to cut even a dense 2-4 clean in half in no time. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good rip saw, pruning, or anything else that requires cutting through lots of material quick. 1010.
