I like the compact size, well built, easy to stow away.Just be mindful not to loose the pins which hold the height of the handle. You HAVE to slide it all the way in to click in.Like it that it turns into a horizontal position as well.

Sturdy and works well. Just the wheel pins I could not get them to bend. I’d suggest a bolt and screw instead on your design in future. Used a set of jet rings instead on it.

Needing a small, lightweight hand trolley, I selected this one from the list of available options on Amazon. It was a good choice. The price was right, especially as I was able to buy a "returned" model that was advertised in "like new" condition. Apart from a slightly crushed box containing the fasteners and wheels, it was indeed like new.Once assembled, this sturdy, lightweight, beautifully designed mostly plastic trolley is perfect for those small jobs needing a device to assist in the movement of crates, boxes and the like. The carrying tray affixed between the two large main wheels is a substantial metal piece. The tray itself is coated with what appears to be a highly durable baked on rust resistant finish. The curved handle, also metal, is a thick and solid tube that is easily adjustable to various heights to suit the operator.Assembly was a breeze. The instructions are primarily simple and clear photos with brief descriptions where needed. The supplied nuts, bolts and washers are of the highest quality. They too have been properly treated to resist rust. All the holes in the frame lined up perfectly. The carrying tray is rigidly held in place by four nuts and bolts. Tightened properly (don't overtighten them as the frame supporting the tray is plastic!) it will be secure for years. The large diameter wheels (non-pneumatic) slide over the metal axle and are held in place by cotter pins. Done properly, they too will be secure for years. My only issue, and it is admittedly a very minor one, is that there seems to be no way to remove the small secondary set of wheels attached to the plastic frame from the factory that convert the upright trolley into a hand cart. Not needing a hand cart, I tried to find access to the bolts holding them on but was unable to do so. I'll live with them as is.A brilliant little trolley that will find many uses around the home even if you can't think of them all now!Addendum. After re-reading some of the other reviews on this page, I felt it necessary to add the following observations. This hand trolley/cart is simplicity itself to assemble. The instructions are clear and straightforward, as is the assembly process. A 10 year old could put this together in a matter of minutes. The small wheels attached to the frame from the factory are heavy duty plastic. They also freely swing a full 360 degrees with no impediment whatsoever. If someone managed to break one or both of these wheels, it is more likely they overloaded the trolley. And contrary to another review, the solid and substantial plastic frame is very robust and flex free. To say otherwise is simply wrong. All the frame rails are constructed of thick plastic. They are reinforced with moulded in "X" shaped gussets. Unless severely abused or overloaded, this frame will last a good long while. Lastly, if screws and fasteners were "loose" as was suggested elsewhere, it is only because someone did not fully complete the assembly process. Once properly tightened, the finished trolley is as solid as a rock.

This dolly is awesome! It has been in use for over 5 years now and we bought another because someone put way too much weight on it and the wheel broke, but don't get me wrong, this dolly is amazing. As far as the broken wheel, it really was a tremendous amount of weight that was put on it and far beyond what they say is acceptable so it is by no means a defect or fault of the dolly. Overall this dolly is very durable and sturdy. The fact that you can use it as a cart and an upright dolly is an awesome feature. It is very easy to swap the arm to the position you desire and it rolls smoothly and reliably. It is very light, but very strong and the price point is very reasonable. I would pay more for it already knowing what I know, but having it be cheaper than most other Dollys in its class means this is a no brainer for anyone looking for a good dolly.

I just received and assembled this item. Very good design (compact, versatile, functional, well thought out), good quality materials, straightforward to assemble and reasonably priced. It claims 400 lb capacity, which I will never come close to really testing, but it is certainly a very sturdy dolly and seems capable of handling a lot of weight. Very happy with this purchase. Should have bought one years ago! Thanks Harper Trucks for this product.

I felt the need to write a review about this hand truck because it pretty much saved me last week. During rush hour on Thursday, I had to haul a guitar, amplifier, extension speaker, and duffel bag through two different midtown Manhattan subway stations, and eventually boarded a NJ Transit train destined for Trenton (and my journey did not end there). This hand truck made this seemingly impossible challenge (almost) effortless. The dense plastic frame enables this dolly to be lightweight and maneuverable, but still feels like it will last a long time. There are plenty of places to secure bungee cords, which has been a problem in the past with a different dolly. I won't go on and on about this item because it's pretty straightforward, but for $61.99, it's a great deal for a quality American-made product.NOTE: When this item arrives, you will have to assemble the lift plate and wheels to the frame, which was a breeze using a 9/16" nut driver (not totally necessary) and a pair of vice-crip pliers. The assembly was only somewhat difficult because one of the nuts they sent me was stripped on the last couple threads. I solved this by adding three thin washers under the head of the bolt.

After I lost my traditional hand truck I decided to try this nylon truck/cart combination, and so far it has been a great choice. Because it is nylon it is lighter weight than a steel hand truck, and is much lighter than a steel convertible hand truck/ 4-wheeled car. It is very easy to lift into and out of the trunk of the car. The square beam construction with reinforcing ribs makes it very stiff, so don't worry about that. I have easily carried 120 lbs on it as an upright hand cart and 260 lbs using it as a 4-wheeled cart and it could have easily carried more weight. In my case the limiting factor was size. This is about 2/3 the size of a normal cart, so moving a lot of boxes will take more trips. It easily handles three 16x12x12 moving boxes when used as a hand truck and six when used as a cart. The transition from hand cart to wheeled cart could not be simpler - just pull out the yellow handle and insert it 90 degrees upright. When used as a hand cart the handle length is adjustable. The cart in vertical or horizontal mode is wide enough to be stable when pulled so I had no problem with tipping, and when used as a 4-wheeled cart the swiveling front casters are large enough for easy rolling over door jambs. The base plate is steel and is larger than my old cart, making the cart easier to tip back without having the load fall off the front - a good thing. The steel base plate puts most of the weight near the ground so the cart doesn't have the tendency to fall over backwards when empty like many all-steel carts do. The only negative about this cart is that the rubber wheels are really plastic but have a rubber ring around the edge. I guess that way they could say it has rubber wheels. So although the part of the wheel that touches the ground is rubber, it is clearly not going to be very durable. That's not a huge problem as better wheels can be purchased at any hardware outlet. But I will keep using these until they wear out.The cart comes partly assembled and I only had to attach the base plate (wrenches and/or pliers needed), insert the axle, put on the wheels and drop in the handle. It took all of five minutes. With its black body and yellow handle it is a very attractive cart. The packaging is cardboard with no styrofoam or plastic packaging, so everything except the bag the small parts came in is recyclable.
