Really good quality tools, the scissors really give you the ASMR fix, the knife is surprisingly well built and sharp, tweezers and other utensils are proper size, gun metal black catches the eye, kunz and quenelle spoons are perfect, zero complaints, worth every penny

The Bonigour Plating Tools Culinary Set is a professional, high quality culinary set that is well crafted.The black color looks modern, has a glossy finish, has an attractive, clean presentation for serving foods at formal dinners or special occasions.The set comes well packaged, includes a leather case for easy storage and 10 well polished kitchen utensils.The utensils are made of a good grade Stainless Steel, are solid, sturdy, durable and rust resistant.Each piece has a good weight to it, the handles are comfortable to hold and have a good grip.Overall, a beautiful set, practical and functional set to use when cooking and serving food and also makes a great gift.

The quality is superb. The matte black finish is just an eye opener! All the tools a professional chef needs for his/her kitchen! I use mine in a corporate culinary world,and the tools are just what I needed to finish my knife collection. Excellent quality and worth every penny!

My wife finished chef school this fall so I decided to surprise her with her own plating set. She had talked to me about having use of a set in class when preparing special meals. When the Bonigour plating set arrived, it was very well packaged. It includes a leather wrapped case to safely store and transport the plating set. My wife was over-the-moon when she opened it up. She inspected and gripped each of the spoons and tweezers. They are a beautiful high gloss, platinum/pewter coloured finish that makes them look clean, polished, and professional. Each tool has a very nice weight. She particularly raved about the textured tweezers that allows her greater control while plating. When I told her the price, she was shocked at their value. She told me how a single spoon that was similar to the one in this set cost $20.My wife was just hired for her first job as an Executive Chef. She is SO excited to start using the Bonigour plating set to bring joy to the people that she serves!

The Binogour plating tools (no,not THAT kind of plating!) came to us in very simple, easy packaging.They excelled from there, for what they are. These are top-quality well-balanced plating tools for meals, and as such are made with the professional chef or the excellent home cook in mind. A nice black color, these allowed my son to plate better than ever before with a rich variety of shapes available among the ten or so tools at hand. Further, they came in a little roll up bag (like one sees on television, for chef's knives) and as such will make a very nice part of our at home and travel "cheffing" kit.Now…I left this at (5) stars as I have a weakness for expensive cooking implements, and yes, these ARE expensive. They also deliver value against that cost. If you know what you are doing in the kitchen, you will not be disappointed. If you don't, know that I do and my son does, and take our advice - buy these for the high-end cookery artist in your life. (S)he will think you have class, style, and character for doing so.Rating : 5 stars! This kit has been great as I have gotten more into molecular gastronomy. The tools look great and their quality is better than I expected. Each piece has weight to it and the coloring has been extremely durable. I haven't put any of them in the dishwasher so I can't speak to that, but I can say that they have held up quite well to the way I have used and abused them. This kit would be a great gift for someone who wants to take their home cooking to the next level.

This is a beautiful, high quality set for my culinary student. Exquisite plating is what piqued his interest in the culinary arts, and these tools help him to grow his skills in presentation. The micro-texturing on the tweezers and thoughtfully designed saucing spoons allow him to explore his creativity with absolute precision and practice recreating presentations with uniformity. It’s nicely packaged and would make a perfect gift for the epicure on your list. Highly recommend.

I've been using the same clumsy tongs and spoons for too long, it seems, and my plated meals have typically lacked a designer's touch, but I didn't know it until I received this kit that doing a more thoughtful job could be such a pleasure. Using tweezers for work other than splinter removal is fun. If you've got it, use it.
