When I first installed it, I had a fitment issue. The cage was too tight. I double checked and it was an exact reproduction - it should have worked. So I put on my thinking cap and I fashioned two pieces of plastic that provided enough space to let the cage spin. I would buy again from this seller.

As others have mentioned, this fan may not be an exact fit for some models. I have a 665-N (from the early 90's), and this replacement fan unit is a little "taller" than the original. The picture shows the comparison - original fan on the left, this unit on the right. If you install this unit as-is, the rotor will be pushed up snug into the housing and will not turn. However, with a ~5/16" spacer under the mounting bracket on each side, the rotor is backed-out just enough so that it spins freely. For the spacers I used rubber washers. It also still fits under the external plastic grill, though just barely. Between the extra bracket spacing and the fact that the motor itself is a little taller, it uses up about 1/2" more height clearance (towards the floor) than the original. As for performance, this fan is a little louder and has a bit less airflow than the original, but it still works OK. Especially compared to no airflow at all.Overall it's a decent replacement, but just be aware that you may need to use spacers or other custom tweaks when installing it.

Replaced decades old OEM fan. The new one was a perfect fit and easy to replace. It is quiet and does the job.

Noisy and about to wear out…at least that’s what it sounds like.

Bought as a replacement for a 20+ year old fan in our bathroom. The install was pretty painless, I had to bend the brackets a bit to keep it from binding on the housing but nothing major. The fan works fine, better than having to pull the whole housing out and replace it, but it's a bit noisy and doesn't flow as well as an entirely new fan would. If you're looking for a quick replacement to fix a fan with a dead motor, it'll do. If you're looking for OEM quality of a new ventilation fan, you'll be disappointed.

Mounting bracket was bent into fan. Fan is out of round and wobbling.
