These are fine tipped, work best for detailing, not so much for filling in. I would order larger tip markers or paints with paint brushes for filling in areas and let it dry then add these markers for finer detailing. The fabric and materials you use will be best used on cotton and canvas material, leather may be prone to flaking or wearing off where they get scuffed. Both packs are the same value price per marker is about 40 cents each so get what you think you will use most. I like a huge variety for more choices. If painting on shirts, pants, and fabrics that have two layers, it would be a good idea to grab some cardboard and put it between the layers so that the paint does not soak through to the other side and muck it up. Thick fabrics may not need backing, or hats/shoes which do not lay against themselves. These would be fun to do up on pillowcases, scarves, handkerchiefs, tote bags, backpacks, and more. Test a fabric and wash it to see if it sticks or washes off. Some materials may not soak in the paint and wash right off. Great to have on hand for rainy day projects with kids/teens, making team and group shirts everyone designs their own for a group outing, reunions, and more.*A fun project- having your guests sign a tablecloth with these that you keep forever. And if the names start wearing away, get out that embroidery thread and sew it in permanently in their color choices and little mementos they left behind.*Let your kid bring a mostly solid tee (with or without a graphic on the front) to use as an autograph keepsake.*Use for autographs on a cast.

Some are not easy to apply. Acts dry so require repeated applications. Good color selection. Good value.

I ordered these to use when my grandkids come over. We did some tie-dying one time, and they loved it - but it was pretty messy. These markers are a great alternative to tie-dye. I picked up a few different things for them to color on, like hats, canvas bags and t-shirts, and they had a great time. The markers do wear out when used a lot, which can make them less precise, but we didn't have any dry out. These were an inexpensive way to spend a fun craft-filled afternoon. I definitely recommend giving them a try.

PERFECT! I am scribbling away on tee shirts like crazy and these pens are making it happen. Nice color selection, easy to use and uncap, good value for the money. Yay.

This set includes 40 different colors. I found a dark orange that almost matched an old favorite, a cotton pique polo shirt. I used the marker to darken the spots on the placket where the shirt has frayed and shows white (after 22 years!). I got it too dark in one spot. One trip through the washer fixed that. The paint still covers the frayed spots, but the dark spot averaged out and matches the shirt fabric now. A little fabric paint, a little fusible interfacing, a few basting stitches… maybe I can get another couple of years out of this sentimental favorite shirt.This paint/marker is easier to use than fabric crayons I have used previously.Rating: goodMy scale: 5 star = excellent (or has a special feature), 4 star = good/ very good (does what it should), 3 star = average (or has a minor flaw), 2 star = below average (multiple flaws or does not perform its function well), 1 star = avoid (does not fulfill its mission). I rarely use the term ‘perfect’ and I rarely assign 5 stars.

40 Colors.Amazing selection of colors and they are a feel-good size in the hand - not too bulky and not too small to hold for fine details. In my opinion, they do work best for fine details as they're a finer-tipped pen - the very tip of these, the portion you'd actually paint with, is 1 mm. The markers dispense paint well; smoothly and not overly juicy so they splotch.I decorated a canvas-type bag with some simple squares and circles drawn on just to test the markers out. Let it dry for a couple days and then washed it, everything still looks good.

The colors are vibrant and bold. The markers dry quickly to prevent smudging, and their wash-resistant formula ensures that your designs retain their brightness even after washing. Easy to use. I ordered these for a relative in the nursing home. I normally use sew in labels to label all of her clothes with her name but when I saw these I thought I could at least try these out for her undergarments and socks. The only thing that concerns me is that the nursing home operates such powerful washers and dryers that anything I label with these markers will probably wash right out. But it's worth a try. If they work, it will save me a lot of time and money. I won't know for a while once enough time has gone by for the garments to have been washed several times. I really like the variety of colors you get. I really like the fine tips which make it easier to write names in garments. Arrived quickly after I ordered them. Good value at $14.98.

This is a nice set of fabric markers with a wide array of colors. They do have a fine tip so you can do small lines, but they did bleed on my shirt. I tried to color in some faded letters and was very careful about how much I put on, but even with a light touch they still bled out of the letters. I’ll use them for more general color than fine lines. The shorts I used were 100% polyester so maybe on cotton they won’t bleed as much.
