Our boat trailer is pretty old and the lights are a bit suspect. We've had a few times where we went to use it and the lights wouldn't work, so we couldn't trailer the boat anywhere and instead of boating ended up working on the trailer. I saw these and thought it would be a great option to have available, so if we encountered the same situation we could at least enjoy boating for the day and schedule time to fix the trailer lights.Alas, the great concept for these lights is better than the actual application. First, these came nicely packaged in a tote that will protect the lights and connector, and has a spot for the charging cord. Upon receipt I immediately charged them up fully (note: pay attention to the on/off switch because if they are not wirelessly connected to the 7-pin connector inserted into the vehicle, even if the switch is in the "on" position the lights will not light up, but will drain the batteries in each light.) After I had these charged I inserted the 7-pin connector into my truck (2024 Chevy Silverado) and turned them on. The lights connected immediately and I started running them through the paces and checks:1. OK: First issue: I would not trust the suction cups alone to attach these to your vehicle - too likely to fall off. Which for me led to issue 2.2. OK - VEHICLE DEPENDENT: My tailgate on my truck has no magnetic metal so these would only stay in certain spots where the suction cup could get a grip. I did find that my bumper still contains steel, so the magnets worked there and were pretty strong.3. GOOD: With my main vehicle lights on, both of the lights connected to the 7-pin connector and the red portions lit up. This part worked great.4. GOOD: No issues with the turn signals and hazards - when activated the amber portion of the lights blinked appropriately.5. FAIL: When stepping on the brake the AMBER portion of the lights lit up - it is not make the red portion of the lights brighter as expected. To me this says that these are not working properly - I expect the red portion of the lights to brighten to indicate the vehicle is braking. Either these lights are not wired/programmed correctly or they just simply don't work with my model year/brand of vehicle. If it's the latter, the seller needs to test, determine and state what vehicles these lights do/do not work with.6. FAIL: One of the two lights I received will not stay connected to the truck for more than about 30 seconds. I've ensured they are fully charged, and if I turn that particular light off then back on it will reconnect, but then drops again after a few seconds. The other light stays connected and working the whole time.Overall, I like the concept. These are a bit pricey, but if they worked it would give me peace of mind when going to use our boat. I'd have to remember to charge them and keep them charged, but that's on me. However, I can't endorse these when one of the two lights just doesn't stay connected and the wrong lights are lit up when braking - they just don't work.

Okay, maybe I got a bad set but mine do not work correctly any more. Initially they worked fine, but my left signal light is no longer working correctly. The lights don’t turn on and only do so intermittently. I wish they still worked like they’re supposed because I really liked the convenience of it having any wires and being able to stick them any where. With that being said, I would’ve like for them to have a charging indicator to let you know the level of charge remaining. Obviously driving conditions affect the battery life (heavy traffic/night driving/etc) and would be nice to know how much battery life remains or when the lights are fully charged.I would not recommend them for heavy use because there’s no way of checking battery life level and if you’re depending on them for safety your really gonna be gambling that they work when they are supposed to.

This set works as designed but it relies on non-replaceable internal batteries. I think of this product as solely an emergency use item to store in the truck and use when trailer lights fail. If you pull it out in an emergency after three years of sitting in your tow vehicle, either the internal batteries will be permanently dead, or you'll have to sit by the side of the road and wait a couple hours to charge the lights. I'd much rather have a system dependent on replaceable batteries. So you have to remember to charge these lights regularly. Other than that, I think this is an easy to set and use item at a reasonable price. Cosmetically, the lights are attractive and the magnets have plenty of grab.
