This battery allowed us to use our DS again. Best that it came with a tool to install! It still works. If you have a DS, make sure you occasionally charge it because if the original battery is not used, it dies and the DS people want a fortune for a new one but as always, here on Amazon, you save money buying their products. This was well worth it and it is still working well after all this time.

I had been looking into getting a replacement battery for my Nintendo DS Lite for years once it started to lose its life within 2-3 hours of constant gameplay on the brightest setting. With this battery, I've more than doubled how long it'll last with the screen at its brightest. It holds a charge well and its cheaper than most options on the market. Plus it comes with a cute little screwdriver to help you install it.However, it doesn't fit perfect. It makes the battery compartment cover piece bulge out ever so slightly that I can feel the ridge when holding it, but to me that is a non-issue.

I originally purchased this product because I thought there was a problem with my original DS battery. It turns out I had to send my DS lite in for repair, to Nintendo (which by the way was a plesant experience 5 STARS!!!).Like others have stated, this battery is a little tight but it will fit. I have never run it down to empty so I don't have an opinon on the battery life.I have a Gloss Black DS Lite. Oh and yes I paid like $2.00 for it on Amazon. I am giving it three stars because of the snug fit.

I had a long-unused DS Lite that I wanted to recoup, but the original Nintendo battery would no longer hold any charge. Every time I plugged it into the charger, the orange light would come on for one second and then go black. Rather than write off the unit, I decided to try replacing the battery as the most likely failure point. An original Nintendo battery is $15 plus shipping, which was more than I was willing to risk on a theory. Despite the negative reviews, I took a gamble on this generic battery. The results have been completely satisfactory. The battery fit snugly but didn't prevent the lid from fitting properly. It immediately held a charge and performs at least as well as the original did (several hours of use per charge). Even the included screwdriver worked perfectly on the tiny battery cover screw. Especially given the price, I'm extremely happy with the results from this battery.

I forgot to and I bought this! It barely fit in the nintendo DS, It came with a screwdriver that was really crappy (i used my own seperate triwing later), by crappy, I mean it stripped the screwdriver before the screw cause it was the wrong size for the slot. Once you get the stupid thing installed just bring the charger with you, it won't hold more than a few hours charge (2-4?) The battery died 2 months after I bought it if that tells you anything, or I might just have a defective product.Keep looking for a battery!

I waste my money. This is a useless product. You need not to waste your money behind this kind of product. I am not recommonding this product to any one.

The battery fits correctly into my daughter's NDS Lite and the included screw driver was a nice bonus, though, it didn't have enough bite to remove the screws I needed to remove. Thankfully, I didn't buy this product with the expectation of a cheap screwdriver doing the deed.

My mom is addicted to her DS and is constantly using it. Her battery life was only one hour by the time we went looking to replace the battery. That was a bit of a challenge, but found this easily. Arrived in good time and her DS is up and running.
