Found this item on another site for a lower price, but shipping costs made it more expensive and took longer to ship than on Amazon. Bought this to repair my fridge which was making a loud *THOCK* sound when opening and closing the fridge. Inspecting the door hinge helped me isolate that the closing plate had cracked in half and would separate when opening/closing the door, resulting in the previously mentioned sound.Took about five minutes to get the door off, pop the old closing plate off, put the new one on, replace the door hinge (I read the description wrong, but I kept the item anyways), grease it up, and put the door back on. The door doesn't make a peep now. Very happy!

I found a piece of plastic on the floor below the refrigerator door and figured out it had to either be the door closer plate or the bearing hinge. I was going to just skip fixing it, but the door would not always fully close unless I pushed it shut. So, I decided it was better to fix than to accidentally forget and leave the fridge door partially open.Since I was not sure if it was the closer plate or the hinge, I ordered both so I only had to pull the door off once. Taking everything out of the fridge door took the majority of the time. Taking the door off involves removing 1 screw from the plastic cover on the top, and 2 bolts on the top. Then it was just a matter of lifting off the door and placing it on the counter. In my case, it was the bearing hinge that had broken off, so it took a couple of minutes to pull it out of the bottom of the door with the pliers. The door closer plate lifted right up, cleaned the area, applied some food-grade silicone to the top of the plate surface (and the same to the bearing hinge). Put the door back on, and it was back to normal. It was a pretty quick fix, maybe 10-15 minutes, so I did not bother emptying the entire fridge. If you work a little slower, it might be a good idea to move the perishable items to a cooler to ensure they do not spoil.

Replaced this piece and the mating piece because the fridge door would snap when opened. After installing both pieces the door was nice and quiet for about two hours then it began to snap a little after about a day it was as bad as before I did the job .failure.

Not sure if it is the product or the fridge. This was installed to replace the bottom cam of our "clunking" fridge door. Install was easy. Now our door "clunk" is worse. After looking at the new cam and comparing to the old, I see the edges on the new cam are very sharp and help to create thus " clunk".

Make sure you got the correct part. There is this door cam, and another piece that meshes with it. I replaced these two, and they work like new.
