I ordered this to use as a travel dial on a conventional engine lathe w/o DRO's.The large dial & numbers are easy to read/see.The indicator is accurate enough for GP shop work, and seems to be holding up just fine.At this price point, I won't be out much should it get damaged due to chips or coolant.I would recommend buying a few for your machining needs.Lets face it.....it's not a Starrett or Mitutoyo but it serves the propose I need it for.
