For outside, I do think the entry is a bit too large and probably won't keep the cat that warm. That being said, I use this for inside. I've got a set-up at my work desk (at home) and have places for the cats to hang out because they like being near me. Unfortunately, they all like their separate spaces!This house was easy to put together. I think it's cute. And, our big cat fits in there with no problems, he loves the larger entry way.All in all, I think this is great even for inside cats. It's easy to clean too so if you foster or need to sanitize for any reason, I don't see it as being difficult.

The cat cottages are a nice size. I have them for my two cats when they are out on the deck. I got them so they could be out on the deck when it’s raining. The description said they were waterproof - and for the most part they are. However - the opening is a bit too large because water still gets in the front part of the cottage when it’s raining. There needs to be a longer overhang on the roof. Beyond that - they are very nice. The boys do like to lie in them quite a lot.
