MY Bryant heat pump condenser was freezing like an ice cake. Defrost board failed. Took me 20 min to swap out the board. first I flushed condenser with hot water then turn on the Heat pimp. 12 F now and no ice. 3 weeks still good. Also cleaned coils in the heat pump unit located in my attic.

I purchased this board in the summer and it worked great in cooling mode. Although my defrost board was working perfectly I figured since my board was older that maybe replacing it would be better. When the temperatures began dropping and I needed my heat pump to run in heat mode the outdoor unit stated short cycling. After troubleshooting my unit to include the reversing valve. I replaced the board with my old one (Original) and the short cycling stopped and running great again. Unfortunately the new board was defective and only had a 30 day warranty. I would not recommend using this product.

Just installed this on my heat pump and everything seems to be working great now. The house can finally get warm above 68° and the unit is completely iced over. Thanks.

Good repair card for most units. You may have to clip off a contact but that’s self explanatory

Great replacement for OEM but you will need to remember low voltage wiring harness, or cut off one of the unused pins on the board. Dip switch speed up is a nice upgrade.
