Overall this is wonderful comfortable jacket. Reasonably warm. Not amazingly water proof if you need to be out in the rain all day, but enough for a few hours. The water kinda soaks in to the fabric and then you get cold. Lots of pockets and the stretch panel though the shoulders is very nice. I did find it a touch on the small side in ordered the 12/14 when im usually a 10/12 and it was borderline to snug. No room for layers underneath it.

I am very pleased with this jacket! I am 6ft tall and was concerned that the arms of this jacket would not be long enough but low and behold it fits perfect! I wear a medium in most tops and jackets and decided to stick with size medium and I'm glad I did. It fits perfect but also allows to add a couple layers without being too tight. Highly recommend!

This coat is amazing. I am a huge fan of Carhartt but this one takes the cake. I really like how light weight the coat is, yet you feel invincible in it. Like nothing could get at you. One of the first times I wore it was fishing on a cold and very windy day (pic). Not only did I catch a fish (power of the fantastic coat, prob) but I was happy to be outside in the weather. Did bother me much. Next time I work the coat a few days later, I was backpack camping in cold and spitting rain. While all uncovered parts of my body were miserable, I was still feeling warm and cozy in my fancy new jacket (pic).Love how accommodating the jacket is to lots of movement. Check out the shoulder area in pics - coat doesn't pull off your wrists or bunch in weird places.Fav new clothing item and I can't wait to use it in the fall again. It'll be like a little gift to myself when I open the closet (bought it in late spring).

I have a lot of Carhartt clothing and am a solid XL with room to move in their button-down shirts, hoodies and T's. An XL in their jackets also fits just right,"as expected", but gives me only a small amount of layering room. I live in a climate that changes by the minute so various layers are requisite. An XXL in this jacket is just right. It doesn't look too big, and when wearing without layers the snap tabs on the sides give it a closer fit. It's wonderfully light and the thinsulate is great for regulating temperature without overheating me while Im working or walking. It's also probably the best windbreaker I've ever had. So far I've had it out in a steady drizzle and it's kept me plenty dry. It has a nice generous hood. The overall fit is so comfortable. The flex component in the arms and across the back is amazing really. I work with Produce so am bending and lifting all day and didn't even realize how much other jackets bound me up while I was working! As usual with Carhartt you get plenty of pockets too which I love and is so rare in women's clothing. This is a fantastic all around three 1/2 season jacket where I live. It should stand me in good stead for years to come.

It's so cute and stylish! I bought it for the barn but I find myself wearing it out and about in town more and now wear my old jacket to the barn. I love the fit and the little area that covers your hand. It's super comfortable and is perfect for colder weather. I am 5'3 and 125 pounds. I have really broad shoulders and a 34 D bra size. In shirts and other jackets depending on the cut I wear a small or medium. I ordered both sizes in the jacket. The small was perfect if I was only going to wear a tee shirt but I wanted something I could wear a sweatshirt under neath if need be so I choose the medium (even though with a sweatshirt it was a tad too big). I'm glad I did because it did shrink a tad when I washed and dried it. If your thinking of buying this jacket just do it!

I got this coat a few months ago and I really love it. I am 5'3 and 135 and got a medium and has lots of room for a jumper underneath! I especially love the tight wrists that keep the wind and rain out. I don't live in a particularly cold place but they days that it did snow and get into the minus temps it kept me warm with a jumper underneath. I hight recommend this coat!

I’m really pleased with this jacket! It’s incredibly comfortable, warm and looks good, too. I love the fit of the sleeves on my wrists with the super inside knit cuff and the angled cut of the sleeve so that it’s longer over the back of the hand and shorter on the palm side...protects hands from the weather but allows excellent clearance for working with your hands. Zippered chest pocket for my glasses, zippered and Velcro interior pockets for phone and other items that need protection and security, and the handwarmer pockets which also zip. Hood fits nice, even with my hair in a bun, and it stays in place while still allowing me good visibility. Jacket is very lightweight and not bulky. I’ve been wearing it everywhere - snowshoeing, shopping, walking dogs, shoveling snow. You can’t beat these full-swing jackets for freedom of movement. I am a medium in most all clothing (5’4” and 140 pounds) but I got this jacket in a large, which I always do with Carhartt tops and jackets, because I’m more interested in comfort, freedom of movement, and the ability to wear plenty of layers underneath if necessary, than I am in looking like a fashionista. The snap tabs on the waistline give it a look that is tailored enough for me. I have the other full-swing jacket in the heavier duck with the fleece lining (and love that one also - it’s my everyday work jacket around the livestock, doing carpentry, heavy work in cold weather) and I also have that in a large so I can comfortably wear as many layers as necessary under it.

This is a great coat. I was camping and working construction in the winter, snow and rain. This was big enough to wear a couple layers underneath; the hood allows space for a hat or hardhat underneath. The exterior material is water repellent (not waterproof), and withstood a decent amount of abrasion and harsh materials (lime mortar). Decent number of useful pockets. I was crawling under buildings, climbing scaffolding, moving material, and swinging hammers, and never felt constricted in movement. Five stars on durability and utility, but four stars for the fit. I tried this coat on in a retail store. The medium fit my torso perfectly but the arm length was almost 3 - 4 inches above my wrists! I had to get a large just for the arm length, and I don't have exceptionally long arms. Otherwise it is a great coat. My male supervisor kinda wanted one by the end of the project.

Love the coat. It's somewhat small if you compare it to other Carhardt styles. My measurements are all over the board. Tried on "Traditional" style at local store (didn't have this coat) Large was good in traditional styles, but not in this style. I could wear it, but there was no synching the draw strings at the bottom or thinking about using that second snap on the back, let alone a bulky sweater underneath. I returned and got the XL. And it's perfect! Fits great, lot's of mobility, softer fabric (than traditional). Not bulky. Blocks wind. Warm. Totally recommend this coat.
