Looked everywhere for one of these and they were all back-ordered because of covid, but Amazon still had them!

My son is customizing a telecaster & wanted this for Christmas. It's exactly what he needed.

Why is this bridge not a roller bridge? Bought this kit to cover the routing under the old tele bridge, but the saddles are these horrible diagonal slashes that eliminate any smooth tremolo action - they grab and slip the strings so that bending sounds slightly wonky and does not return to tuning after the bend. They would require a lot of filing to be functional. Putting in a good roller bridge instead. The bigsby tailpiece is cool, but I will probably have fill and redrill the mounting holes I put in for a new roller bridge, and will have to just make plate out of wood or pick guard material afterwards. In short, this kit is probably an overpriced waste. Just buy the b5 tailpiece and a better quality bridge separately. Bigsby's installation instructions were excellent though.

Installed it on my Mexican Tele really adds a lot to the guitar. All my guitars have some sort of whammy on them.

Five stars on the product itself. Lost one star because I had to chase down an oddball size bit to get this mounted. If you do not have a 17/64" bit - you might as well buy one online while you are at it. Home centers only have this size in the largest bit sets.
