Portable Electric Tin Sucker, 30W Heating Power

The desoldering pump is good for both the lead base solder and tin base solder.

  • Small solder joints can be directly tin repeated operation depends on the actual situation.
  • It can not directly suck large solder joints or multi-layer board, need to assist other heating equipment such as electric soldering iron or 850 hot air table to tin.
  • If encountered high-temperature solder can not be penetrated, you need to add low-temperature solder and then disassembly.

The heat-up time is fine, but the quick repeated suction makes desoldering so easy. No need to try to get two tools in the same space at the same time. I only wish I got it sooner.

The unit works as stated. By not storing removed solder it is less likely to get plugged up and have to be constantly be cleaned. I have used much more expensive units that require a lot of cleaning.

Should any issues arise from this device, I'll update this review accordingly, but as it stands, this product is absolutely perfect. It works well, it works quickly, and it does exactly what I need it to far better than my soldering iron + soldering wick + lots of swearing.Only thing I'll mention is: make sure you clean it between every use. I used it a second time after not cleaning it ONCE and it started throwing little bits of hot solder at the bottom of a circuit board I was using it on.

La función del producto es aceptable, el tiempo de calentamiento es demorado y el producto en si es muy fragil si se cae de la mesa de trabajo se parte la punta y el proovedor no suministra el repuesto lo que se me hace inaceptable.

The first couple of times I used this tool I was impressed. After a lengthy heat-up (not unexpected) pressing the red button sucked solder from a joint and releasing it spit the solder back out.A little messy, but very effective getting some parts desoldered from a pcb. However, after a couple uses, the red button would not longer release the plunger. The tool would suck but then had to be unplugged in order to reset the plunger for the next spot. Although this works, it is very annoying . I didn't find any parts list where I could order a new switch, and after looking at the wring not sure I would want to try replacing it anyway. In short, I can not recommend this tool.

Positives:- Easily and cleanly removes stubborn solder from larger through-hole vias- Much more effective than the manual solder vacuums- Excellent customer service and after-sales supportNegatives:- Big and clumsy- Tips are too big to be effective at very fine vias

Somewhat similar to the manual, hand operated desolderers except you have a pushbutton and a heated tip. Usually need to press several times to get desired result. Ok for the price.

Reviewers have left similar comments, but I want to include some additional detail. There is a good chance that when using this tool, that it will spit out molten solder. Not good if it is all over your pcb tracks, even worse if it is on your hands or face. As another reviewer has mentioned, the key is to not release the button until you point the nozzle away from the job, e.g. into a waste paper bin where the spatter will not harm anything. This is not a feature, it is a design problem. I am learning to live with this flaw, but would not recommend this tool for anything other than component scavenging. EDIT: Dec 2023. It stopped working. Tip doesn't heat up. Solenoid chatters if you press the button. I only used it for a few times since buying!

Before going into the review proper, I'd like to state that my expectations of this desoldering pump were low. Unfortunately, it didn't manage to live up to even them.Overall, it's built well enough to be usable. Plastics are about what you'd expect, as well as the button used to trigger the pump. In other words: cheap, but largely-inoffensive.The real problem with this specific unit is in the absolutely brilliant job that it does of splattering melted solder all over the freaking place. On the work mat? Yep. In my face? You betcha. All over the PCB I'm trying to work on? HUUUUUUUGE YES. Entertainingly, it would even splatter solder on both sides of the board if attempting to remove joints holding a socket in place. It appears as though this issue is down to a combination of poor suction of the heated liquid solder being removed and a pump with no recoil protection. Combine the two and you get the SplatterMaster 9000™.On the plus side, it quit working the fourth time I attempted to use it, so that was nice.As much as I enjoyed spending more time cleaning up after it (with a squeezy rubber desoldering bulb, a far superior item) than actually doing any useful work with it, the return process has already been started and it will be entirely to my delight to drop it off for its trek back to Amazon.Save up for a decent desoldering tool. You'll hate yourself far, far less in the long run.

Used it for a few months now, and while it sometimes works ok, It is usually disappointing and frustrating. Does feel like it gets hot enough, and doesn't produce enough vacuum to clear a through hole. I probably should have returned it, but thought I'd give it a better chance, however it continues to under-perform.

Unit was not exactly as expected, as the "pump" is a one shot per press of the button, where I expected a continuous sucking action. In the end it didn't make any difference as it did a great job removing the solder.I suggest you pick the size nozzle that is closest to the size of the solder holes rather than the small one that is on the unit when it arrives.Just be expecting a thump and a jerk when the button is pressed.Price was right and it worked out, so highly recommend.

Should have ordered this a long time ago, Works great. Saw the Hakko's for $300+, and as a hobbyist, couldn't pull that trigger. Only recommendation on using, is that once you push the button, hold it pushed and move away from joint. Otherwise, it will spit the solder onto the board. Once you get the hang of it, works great; just let it get up to temp. (can't speak to overall longevity yet)Finally died on me. Going to get another one; however, may try another brand (even though there made all in the same place )

I've only been using it for a few days but I use it in a professional environment meaning it's on all day and I've been desoldering a huge amount of components already. I'm old school and always used a hand pump which worked OK for the most part and I was unable to justify the few hundreds it normally costs for such a product. However, here comes this pump with 5/5 reviews and seemed to do everything without any manual intervention at a low price. Seemed too good to be true but because of the return policy I decided to take a chance. I am VERY impressed and cannot believe I did not find this product before. As some others have said there is a jolt but that's because it does really suck. Compared to my manual pump that I sometimes have to do at an angle to keep the iron on or add new solder and suck it out 2-3 times, this device worked perfectly every time. Not only removing all the solder through but clean and in one shot. The recoil might surprise you and sometimes emits a few specs of the old solder if you don't keep it clean. Also it comes with a few tips. As someone else also mentioned, I removed the one that came with it and selected a larger one to cover the area but that might also be responsible for the few specs coming out.I cannot talk on longevity yet as it's only been a few days but as I mentioned it's being used a lot and working well so far. It's a little heavy so you need to rest it on something as the small soldering iron holders won't be able to hold it. I'm using my soldering station holder and put my iron in one of those cheap holders. One last thing I like about it was that the temperature seemed perfect as it was strong enough to melt the solder and not too hot to lift the traces. There is no adjustment for the temperature but I haven't had an issue yet. Not sure how it will be if I encounter solder with much less lead as some are using. All in all very happy and a surprisingly solid five star. I saw they already raised the price a little, I might pick up a second one in case they raise it again to keep as a backup.
