This is a great item, that makes crocheting large projects so much faster. However, it is incredibly attractive to cats. I think my cat believes it is a cocoon, filled with spiders and other tasty bugs and all my efforts to keep him off have been in vain. I think he feels a deep sense of betrayal by me, and that he is just trying to do his duty to protect his family, the community, and the universe at large from this swirling mass of bugs. 10/10 would recommend for jeither it’s intended purpose or as a cat toy. Removed one star from sturdiness as it is already heavily marked by cat teeth.

This yarn holder is perfect for bulky yarn. I turns easily, and makes it faster and easier to complete my blanket projects.

This is worked very well, and made my crochet time much less frustrating. Now I can pull from the outside, and no more snarls/knots from inside pull. I wish the base had a little more weight so it would be less likely to slide/fall over. But still a great purchase.

it can be pretty scary if you don't have a skein on it. But if Dracula comes to visit, I'm ready. other than having to make sure we don't sit on it or fall on it, IT WORKS GREAT!!! It spins easily.

If you need to use the outer end of a ball of yarn this is perfect to keep control. I even rewound a skein right on it. I wonder if it would work on a long skein if the post was longer? It won’t now but if they sold a longer version…
