The vendor replaced the bulb under warranty. I am satisfied with the response and have changed my rating. Thank you.The product says guaranteed for one year and didn’t even last 5 months. There is no avenue for replacement under warranty through Amazon. Normally we are able to contact the seller but that option is not given.

While it is not exactly the same, when you consider the cost difference between this bulb and the ultravation bulb, using this one is a no brainer. Note that the original bulb has a ring that glows. This replacement does not. Some have complained about this bulb being wider. We had no problem fitting this bulb into a ten year old ultravation bracket. I have no easy way to test that this is giving off effective UV light — assuming it does this is a winner.

This was sold as a replacement for a Ultravation UltraMax AS-IH-1001. I ordered this back in June and was going to install it in October. When I went to install it the bulb doesn't fit. I contacted Amazon and they said the item was beyond the return date window. I tried to contact (call) King Van Accessories and no one answers. I lost $35. Hopefully if anyone else reads this review they will not order this as it is a ripoff.

I am sure this item will work but when I installed it did not come on. The furnace people are coming next wek Nov. 30 -- Hoping they can get it to work
