I don't like how my sax sound with the silicone neck piece. I don't know how it would affect the sound but it does. It look as if the mouth piece fits further down. I'm going back to cork.

I was hoping to get several different sizes, but they are all the same. I tried one on my old soprano sax and it worked well enough to get me through a show or two, but I just really like the feel of real cork. Tried it on an alto and found that it was real work trying to get it on but it went on eventually and also worked decently. I didn't try it on my tenor because the cork was still very good on it, but I can't imagine that it would be any easier than the alto. I think it would be a good idea to keep one of these in a soprano or alto case so that you'll be prepared in case the unthinkable happens and you are stuck with a broken cork. This will keep you going until you can get it to a repair shop.

I love the idea of this silicone sleeve instead of the corking. The installation was easy. The only problem with it is that it is not thick enough. The mouthpiece slides all the way on. Make it thicker and I would love to have it.
