Works great. Only use extension if completely necessary and, if you do use it, clean it out IMMEDIATELY! If not it will dry up on you within minutes, if not seconds, and you'll probably end up throwing it away anyway.Easy to use and clean (with the exception of the extension). Love that it's air tight so you can close it up and let it sit til you're ready to go the next day again. And with no leaking out of the tip!

I have been in the process of renovating a house for about a year now. A foam gun is actually something that I have had my eye on, originally for foaming adhesive when laying new subfloor, but instead I use the tried and true caulk gun instead. Now I've reached a point where I need to insulate cracks in various areas of a rebuilt wall that was originally built in 1950. This means considerable gaps, and a need to block the wind and elements from seeping into the inner wall. This was of course the primary driver in picking up this phone gun, and I utilized it for the first time over this past weekend. It worked amazingly well. And I already regret having not picked one up previously. However, I didn't think it really warranted the 50-75 dollar price tag that I found on many of these guns. Even the mid $30 range didn't always seem like they were very well made. This one however had additional features that other ones did not, specifically the additional 12-in reach that you wouldn't get with a normal gun. Now that I've used it, I don't think I could go back to the old one time use containers. first and foremost it allows you to use and reuse a canister versus needing to utilize an entire canister all at once, or buy up a ton of applicator nozzles. Something that's not always readily available in big box hardware stores. Utilized properly this did an amazing job. It allowed me to get foam into some extremely small cracks and really block any kind of external elements from getting inside. Which of course is important, if not the most important step, before hanging sheetrock on the wall. The only thing that I would say is that if you do use the extension on this particular gun, make sure that you clean it out almost immediately. Like right after you're done, otherwise the polyurethane foam could cure faster than you could clean it out. Otherwise it works similar to a caulking gun except you're not having to pump it over and over and over with your hand. A great thing regardless of age, but handsparing when you're older like myself. Definitely recommend this, especially if you have an older home and you tend to use foam to seal up old gaps.

I've used a few of these spray guns over the years but this is one of the nicest one I have ever had! It comes with a nice long extension that can be handy and also has a valve on it so you can leave the can attached and release the pressure which is a GREAT idea! With the standard guns that don't have this shutoff valve, you can leave them overnight up to a few days and resume without much issue, but the constant pressure on the gun will make them leak foam just a little bit, and then it hardens on the tip... sure you can just scrape it off with a knife, but after a while the tip starts getting worn out from doing this constantly. Having that valve and releasing the pressure when you are done for the day completely solves that problem! It gets rid of the pressure, but doesn't let in any air, so you can leave it for a day or two and when you resume there is no leakage blocking the tip! The only time I clean these out is when I am done with them for a while... if I am going to need it the next day, I don't bother, it's not necessary, but if it's going to be more than about 3 days, then I will remove the foam can and install the cleaner can and really clean it out good. The flow control works better than some other guns I have had, and that's really important! If you are trying to get sub-floor adhesive on your floor joists, you don't want it coming out so fast that you can't keep it on the joist! On the other hand if you are using it for filling a large void, you don't want to be there all day with it either.. it's great to have flow control! It comes with a nice long extension, and I'm glad that they warn you right in the listing that you MUST clean the extension after ever use! The gun itself, you don't need to clean out right away, it can sit for overnight, or even over the weekend and it's fine, but the extension is AFTER the sealed end, so it WILL become totally solid in a matter of a few minutes. If you look at how the gun works, it seals at the very tip of the gun... and that's how it's able to prevent the contents from Harding in it, but any tip or nozzle or extension you put on after that point is going to harden and it's going to do it fast, so only use nozzles or extensions when you absolutely NEED to and, be prepared to clean them IMMEDIATLY after use... 5 minutes after use is WAY too long, the foam is going to harden in them right away.If you want to work with the gun for a while, set it down, then do some more, then set it down again, which is typically how it goes... think of it... you put adhesive on all the floor joists, put one piece of T&G subfloor down, get the tongue into the groove and screw it down completely, than you grab the gun and put adhesive down for the next sheet... if you have a nozzle on the gun, it's going to be solid before you get started screwing down the previous sheet. I guess the nozzles would be fine if you were sealing up a bunch of windows with gaps and cracks filler, but I never found them necessary.. and if you want to take a lunch break, the nozzle is going to be solid when you get back to it, but with no nozzle, you can leave the gun overnight, or over the entire weekend, and it's fine! So the extension is nice to have, but only use it when absolutely necessary.
