This stapler was supposed to be able to staple up to 70 sheets of paper. Absolutely not! You can't get 70 sheets in and if you did, the staples are too weak to pierce that much paper.

This is a powerful electric stapler that works reliably and is quiet. When I first got it and plugged it in, the light on top was red. That's when I discovered that there are no instructions included in the box.I went to the product page on Amazon and looked at the instructions to add staples. I removed the staple cartridge (easy enough) and found that the part called the "upper baffle" had dislodged during shipping so the staples were not pushed against the cartridge. This stapler uses flat staples and had been partially preloaded at the factory. The upper baffle was easy to push down after I made sure the staple flats were fully inserted. The extra dimples you see on the stapled paper page are from my attempts to use the stapler without the cartridge being fully inserted. After it was all the way in it worked just fine.I included a photo of a flat-clinch from the back so you see the difference compared to a regular desktop stapler. Flat-clinches don't add thickness when you stack a bunch of stapled pages, but because the ends are not crimped and forced back into the paper, the ends can catch on things.After verifying the stapler worked, I removed the cartridge and tried to remove the upper baffle (it's the flat piece at a 45-degree angle). You can sort of see in the photo the click tracks on the side that hold it in place. The Amazon page shows it being very easy to remove this to add more staples. I never figured out how to do it like that. I had to, gently, slowly, and carefully, lift up the baffle wiggling it side to side to work it up the click track. Then I could remove it. The photo shows the removed baffle next to the cartridge.The other thing missing is rubber feet on the bottom of the unit to keep it from sliding around.This is a five star heavy duty stapler. I deducted one star for lack of printed instruction sheet, missing rubber feet, and difficulty removing the upper baffle from the cartridge.

This stapler is the best I have ever owned! Favorite features so far; NO Jams, quiet, staples a lot of paper, and love love love how flat it staples!

If you need to staple things quickly and efficiently, this will get it done. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with any instructions, so that makes some things a little more difficult to figure out. Once you get it all worked out it stapples quickly, quietly and efficiently.
