- #265 in SLR Camera Lenses
The FUJINON XC35mmF2 lens is a light-weight prime lens that gives photographers an equivalent to 52mm field of view on 35mm format. Weighing just 4.59 ounces (130g) and measuring 1.83 inches (46.5mm) in length, this new prime lens has nine elements including two aspherical lens elements in six groups that produce sharp and crisp images with creamy, beautiful bokeh. AF operation is quick and near silent thanks to the use of an internal focus system and a stepping motor, which is used to drive the focusing elements quickly and accurately.

It's a cheap lens considering the price of other fuji lenses . It feels cheap too but the glasses are very sharp . Great lens if you don't care about the build quality and weather sealing .

Excellent optically… focuses reasonably fast even on an old slow X-E1… good price/value… I don’t particularly miss the aperture ring…

The lens is doing great. The packaging looks like it's been opened before.

Got it for 14k and worth every penny. It sharp, light weight and produces beautiful classic fuji colours. Does not feel premium but the images look professional. And the F2 gives enough for low light photography. Since its 53 mm equivalent, its not wide enough for landscape and its not ideal for portraits. But its a all in one lens. If you are upgrading from the xc 15 45 kit lens, then you will notice big improvement in the photos taken.

This is another Fuji sleeper lens that many Fuji users overlook because it too "plasticky" and doesn't have an aperture ring and isn't WR. What really counts is the optical quality which is as superb as the heavier and more expensive 35 XF version. The weight of this lens makes it a go to travel lens especially coupled to one of the XE Fuji cameras. If you don't need WR this is an affordable lens with excellent quality results that is a bargain.

Excellent Lens with a great price. . My picture quality is great and seems to adjust pretty good. Lens also is small so works great with the Fuji system.

To the best of my knowledge, Fuji has two classes of lenses: the economical "XC" range like this one, and the higher end "XF" that feel to have a more solid (less "plasticky") level of construction. But this XC lens is a solid performer, fine for my needs of photographing the dog, garden, and family. The image is super crisp, with no noticeable vignetting, and the even performed better than I expected in lower light conditions.Previously, I used lenses which were mostly of metal construction. This heavier duty "weight and feel", is a quality I favour in a lens. But considering I am currently using an entry level X-T100 body which isn't weather-sealed, it made no sense economically to purchase the XF version of this lens as the XC still feels very well built for an entry level lens and met my basic requirements..Fuji's superb auto-focus system is something in particular that drew me towards shooting on their cameras. This lens operates all the AF modes beautifully and with impressive SPEED and ACCURACY.

Unless you actually take photos in the rain or the beach for a living (I suspect most people do not), ignore the lack of weather resistance. This is the better lens for the money. I've also heard people complain about quality control due to region of manufacture... Don't buy that argument. This is an incredibly reliable lens and it will serve you well. A great addition to any bag for a crazy low price!

I just received this lens and just tried it out for a couple shots, have not been able to go out and around because of lockdown but I am liking it so far. It's light on weight, so that is always nice. I guess if you want to know about the feel it is plasticky HOWEVER it is a very good lense. crisp and sharp, I think they nailed the formula for the lens when it comes to its XF counterpart. So all in all it saves you $100 USD. It is not weather sealed, so another thing to think about. I also bought myself a MEIKE MK-F-AF3 Auto Fucus Macro Extension Tube for Compatible with All Fujifilm Mirrorless Camera(10mm 16mm only or conbination) which makes it perfect for up and close macros instead of having to buy a macro lense all together.found here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XMXRZ8T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I will update once I take this baby out for a test drive.

Pros: 1. Good optics 2. f/2 and its bright. 3. good autofocus speed. 4. God build quality though plastic.Cons: 1. No Aperture ring 2. manual focus can be tricky for infinity focus. 3. cheap plastic lens cover.
