I tried several slings for my 8 lb Morkie and this is the one I chose. Not just for her comfort but also for mine. Here are my Pros and Cons on this sling.Pros: (1) There is padding on the back side which is up against my body for my comfort. (2) If you have the shoulder strap over your left shoulder your pet will be in front of you. If you put the shoulder strap over your right shoulder then your pet will be on your left side facing forward or looking to the side over the lower portion of the sling. (3) Because this sling is easy to keep my dog either in front of me or on my side, I am able to carry other items or pull items like a suitcase. (4) Very roomy inside so my dog can lie down when I am sitting. (5) I love the netting/mesh in front and both sides for air circulation. Living in AZ you need as much air circulation for your pet as possible. (6) This sling truly has a hard bottom. Many Sellers state their slings have a hard bottom for support but this one really does and will hold your pet so it does not sink. Very stable. You do not need to keep your hand under the sling to support your pet. I keep a folded hand towel in the bottom for a little extra padding for her. (7) Large zippered pocket in front is a must for treats, folded pee pads, etc. (8) Mesh water bottle holder on the side. (9) O-ring on side where I clip her collapsable water bowl. (10) Small zippered pocket on opposite side from water bottle to hold keys, phone or other small items. (11) Large zippered pocket on inside of sling to put items for extra security. (12) Easy to adjust no matter how tall or big/small you are. (13) The adjustable safety strap to attach onto your pet's harness is on the inside for better security. Some slings state they have a safety strap but it's on the outside of the sling attached to the shoulder strap which is dangerous for your pet and will not prevent them from jumping/falling out. (14) Separate drawstring pull at top to adjust the mesh/netting at both ends of sling to keep your pet more secure. The high end of the sling I keep tighter so my dog will not jump/slip backwards out of the sling. The drawstring pull to adjust the mesh/netting at the low end of the sling I keep looser so I have no fear of collapsed trachea. The low end is still high enough that she won't fall or jump out. I like the drawstring pull better than a zipper because there are more ways to secure your pet than one zipper going across the entire top of the sling. (15) The mesh/netting at top of sling for your pet's safety does not go all the way across the entire sling from side to side so my dog does not get her toenails caught in the mesh/netting. (16) I purchased several slings to try out and see which one would fit my and my dog's needs. I put her in all of them and walked around in the house with her in the slings. She seemed to be the most comfortable in this sling and stayed very calm. I returned the other slings.Cons: (1) The shoulder strap needs to have more padding where it lies on my shoulder. I'm going to get some grey fur like material and make a sleeve for the shoulder strap. (2) The sling only comes in two colors: grey or black. I personally would like a more feminine color for my little girl and/or lighter colors for the Arizona heat.My dog is a Service Dog and goes everywhere with me, and I mean everywhere including planes. This sling meets all of my requirements to have her constantly with me. I just wish the sling came in more colors. When this Seller produces other sling colors I will definitely be purchasing another one. 😁
